Qustion: On every lyrics site i could find it says that the lyrics is: A little happy is all it ever takes Somebody else just tell you that it's worth fighting A single step becomes a leap a faith That's when you realize just starting flying BUT i hear: A little help is all it ever takes Someone else to tell you it's worth fighting. A single step..... And the for the bridge they put it this way: Just reach up, don't give up Until you feel 'alized (realized) BUT are Feel 'alized even a word?? . I hear that it's 'help' too a little 'happy' doesn't really make sense and sounds dumb and I'm pretty sure its 'realised' ibecause that other word isn't even a word

A single step..... And the for the bridge they put it this way: Just reach up, don't give up Until you feel 'alized (realized) BUT are Feel 'alized even a word?? What I hear is... (Verse) A little help is all it ever takes Somebody else to tell you it’s worth fighting A single step becomes a leap of faith That’s when you realized you started flying (Bridge) Just reach up, don’t give up Until you’ve touched the sky Just reach up, don’t give up Until you’ve realized Maybe non-native English speakers came up with the "feel 'alized" line because they don't understand english conjunctions (e.g. you + have = you've). I don't know, but I do know that "alized" is not an English word I have seen that line too; who knows why some people think that is the correct lyric? I hear the same as you do but I'm not a native English speaker. However, oneofmylies is from New Zealand, if I'm not wrong

Wouldn't make - "somebody else WILL tell you it's worth fighting" - more sense than "to" ?? Or is the "to" correct?

Wouldn't make - "somebody else WILL tell you it's worth fighting" - more sense than "to" ?? Or is the "to" correct? I think "to" is correct. The first line reads, "a little help is all it ever takes." The second line, "somebody else to tell it's worth fighting," is embellishing on the first line. Somebody telling you to fight is the help being referred to in the first line. If the second line did read "somebody will tell you it's worth fighting," then it would have to be a standalone sentence or an independent clause. Only then would it make sense. Lyrics usually don't use grammatically correct punctuation, if any punctuation at all. Most lyrics feature mostly commas, but some use quotations and periods sometimes. Here is the lyric from Fly in sentence form: [/ul] If the lyric was "will" the lyric would be: A little help is all it ever takes; somebody will tell you it's worth fighting.[/ul] But even though the sentence using "will" is grammatically correct, it still would not make sense in the lyric. This is because using "will" implies that you are getting help; whereas, using "to" implies that the help is somebody telling you to fight. Avril is trying to say that somebody telling you to fight is help, not that you are guaranteed help by someone telling you to fight. You probably didn't want a huge explanation, but you got one!

It's been a week since Fly was released. Have your initial thoughts about it changed? Are you still playing it on repeat?
I honestly haven't listened to it in days. It's grown on me more the more I've heard it though.

I haven't listened to it in days either, and it has grown on me as well. We waited so long for it, so I was super hyped the first day; but honestly, now I'm becoming disinterested. I know that it would be different if she had released a lead single for an upcoming album, that I would stay excited for; but considering the circumstances for Fly, I'm just not really excited any more. I'm still glad that she released it though!

Same here. I still like it a lot and listen to it every now and then - but it's a ballad and I dont listen that much to her ballads...

It didn't have the same effect on me the way Girlfriend, Breakaway, or Won't Let You Go did when they leaked... it has grown on me, but it's already in the past for me

I never was that much hyped, so I'm not disappointed in any way. Same as eisman, I'm not much into her ballads, but I listen to it every now and then and I keep loving the instrumental and the lyrics as if it was the day it leaked.

I'm still glad that she released it though! I don't think its fair to relate this charity song to her upcoming album. First, she is just rehabing from the seriouse illness. Its definitely difficult to record the vocal again for the song when you have taken so much medicament and fought against the virus everyday. She probably was very week mentally and phyaically. Besides, how can you ensure that she will work with Chad and David again? You are a bit too early to break down everything for the 6th album based on this song This song is absolutely very honest and real, Ive no idea ppl are so negative to it like even feeling worse than with HTNGU
