Yes. Unfortunately, tons of people are petty snobs. I've met people that always make a big deal that I don't smile much, don't talk much, slouch a whole bunch, and wear old clothes. I just ignore them and move on. They're usually a bunch of snobs.

It's not a good thing to be judgemental about others, but its a fact of life that how presentable one is as a person does have an impact on your image & how people perceive you.
I don't think its necessary to wear expensive clothes, and show off, but being presentable & polite with good manners is always a good thing.

I try not to judge people based on what they wear or how they look, but sometimes you meet people and their attitude and language sets off red flags. If it's just friends and family, or people meeting up in public it's usually no big deal. But if you come across a stranger somewhere, or someone approaches you out of nowhere for example, sometimes red flags go up and you have to be smart and aware. Some people are dangerous or trouble and mean nothing but trouble and harm, and you have to be street smart in a way to know who's ok and who's a problem. But if someone is nice and a good person and they're ok, I don't judge them by their clothes or looks.
