Avril Lavigne says a string of rock and roll icons will be featured on her upcoming new album as the Covid-19 pandemic meant she was able to collaborate with people who are usually too busy to jam.
The 37-year-old Canadian pop-punk singer is marking 20 years in the business this year as she prepares to release her seventh studio album.
Fans already got a taste of what to expect last year when Avril released her lead single from the upcoming album, Bite Me – a pulsing pop-rock track with Blink-182 legend Travis Baker on the drums.
Now Avril says that the Covid-19 pandemic was a blessing in disguise when it comes to her new music as she was able to work with a number of high profile stars for her new album – which will be her first to be released after she signed with 45-year-old Travis’ DTA Record
