I'am! It has been more than 10 years now since I first watch Buffy on DVD. It's still my favorite TV show.
I'm currently watching the 3rd season of Angel for the... 5th time maybe? Love it too! The atmosphere is kind of different. Darker.
Anyway, I have a Facebook page about the (very bad) HD remastering of Buffy. Thanks to that, I talked to a few members of the original crew, some actors... Great experience thanks to a bad mess.

It's my all time favorite show. It was the main reason I originally singed up for a netflix account. I've seen it many times. I usually watch it every summer but didn't this year because I wanted a longer break from it so that it would be more enjoyable next time (so I could give myself a chance to forgot some things so that I can re-remember them).
I've seen Angel a few times too. It definitely has a different atmosphere. I like that it's different. I liked the first three seasons a lot better than the latter two (especially the fourth season). Even the fifth season totally changed the dynamics of the show due to W&H, the fourth season is the weakest season. I hated how Cordelia's character was portrayed and I hate even more how they basically killed her off so she would be absent from the final season because they were mad Charisma became pregnant in real life. At least they gave her character's storyline a decent ending in the fifth season. She deserved to be fully apart of it though.

I'm rewatching final season of both series to continue with comics. What do you think of the comics of buffyverse?

Uh, I've wanted to get the comics and read them for so long! I want to get them eventually because I would love to continue the Buffy story; although I'm not too fond of some of the things I've heard about them. Technically the seasons 8,9 and 10 are canon, I don't know if I can ever fully accept them as part of the buffyverse. I guess I feel that if it's not a part of the tv show, then it's not real enough. Maybe I'll feel different after I read them; it will probably depend on how I feel about the stories. If I don't like them then maybe I'll disregard them as part of the buffyverse. A lot of people criticize the 7th season of Buffy saying that Buffy focuses too much on Spike and lets that hinder her judgement. Do you agree? I think that maybe the storyline was a little bit too much about Spike, but I think Buffy stayed true to her character. I know SMG tried hard to keep Buffy intact throughout the show and didn't do things that she thought was out of character.

I don't know much about the behind-the-scenes stuff in the Buffyverse, but I know that those comics were produced by Joss Whedon, who presumably regards them as canon. And if Joss Whedon says they're canon, they're canon.

I'm more of an Angel guy than a Buffy guy. I know some people complain about the 4th and 5th seasons of Angel not being as good as the first three seasons, but I've always thought it was consistently good from start to finish. Buffy was much more of a mixed bag. On the other hand, Buffy Summers is such a strong female character that I can't bring myself to knock the show. And The Body was one of the greatest moments in any television series I've ever seen.... if you haven't watched Buffy, for God's sake don't watch this episode out of context and ruin it for yourself

I know that they're canon and I'm really glad that the comics are produced by Whedon, but since it's a different medium, it's different. It's easy for anyone who haven't read the comics to pass them off as not part of the buffyverse even though they are. It would be like a book and it's movie both being separate parts of the same story - both are on different mediums so they naturally seem separate regardless of the fact that they both serve as official parts of the same story.
I like season 5 of Angel. Moving to W&H was a big change, but it gave the show a new direction and kept it interesting. Season 4 started out good, but I really different care for the Jasmine storyline or the Conner and Cordy ship. I watched BTVS all the way through twice before watching Angel, so I have a stronger attachment to it, but both are great shows. BTVS did change throughout the run of the series, but the changes were those common ones that happen in every show that moves from individual-episode storylines to the storylines that span several episodes or the entire season. These kind of changes were in Angel too, but maybe weren't as evident because it ran a shorter life.

My favourite season has to be season 6. The whole theme and concepts are really displayed in a realistic fashion. I personally love the dark atmosphere within every flow of a character development. Buffy's character process is really captivating, but within a dark manner, we see a hero, inspirational figure getting overwhelmed by the obligations of life and mental state (depression) which easily could give the audience some inspirational answer to their own life’s. Which is why I find this season to be inspirational to me. Life is the big bad, I just love that impression because life is really difficult, so as an individual I could easily look up to and connect to every character particularly Buffy's.

Season 6 was great. I loved the two-part premiere episode when the scoobies bring back Buffy. I loved show's use of the Buffy Bot; it didn't get much screen time, but we could tell that the gang had been using it while Buffy was gone. It was sad that Tara died right after she and Willow reconciled, I would have preferred Tara in the final season rather than see Willow and Kennedy as a couple. The way season 6 was done, it was almost like the finale spanned the last four episodes, building itself up with each episode. BTVS was known for having amazing finales; the season 1 finale was the weakest one in my opinion. The thing that I didn't like about season 6 was how much the gang's concerns about Buffy were emphasized. After OMWF and everything being out in the open, the season was able to progress further than just focusing on Buffy readjusting.
I think my favorite season might be season 3. I really like the high school years. What I like most about them is that most episodes focused on their own plot; whereas in later seasons, plots would span multiple episodes and focused more on progressing the season as a whole rather than taking the gang on a one-episode-only adventure. My favorite Angel season would be a tie between season 1 and 2 when the show was still young.

Just started a Buffy rewatch. Only a few episodes in the first season so far, but I can already tell how much I've missed it. Haven't watched since late 2014.

I actually fell asleep watching it last night, so I have to go back and finish it. But Netflix didn't know I was sleeping, so it continued to play into the next season. But thankfully, I figured out that the autoplay feature can be disabled. How do you watch Buffy? DVD or streaming?
