She's been abused for so long. I hope the court rules in her favor and she gets to go live her life away from all this.

I really hope they will give her back her freedom! I've read the article and heard a few things on Dutch radio but what I heard was insane!!

While I completely sympathize with her plight and agree her Dad is sketchy, last night on Extra Billy Bush said he knows people who know the “whole” story and he reported that it’s pretty well known she needs someone to care for her 24/7. It’s sad.

Idk she sounded pretty conscious and aware in her testimony. Britney does have bipolar disorder so I have no doubt she needs medication. But a conservatorship is only for extreme cases, mostly old people who are incapacitated and can no longer care for themselves or need someone to settle their affairs. Britney is not even 40 years old. Also when you are dealing with an estate as big as hers, worth millions, someone needs to be overseeing that to make sure nothing shady is going on. It is very clear everything is money-driven here. If they truly cared about her health, they would put her on the meds that she explains she was on before that had worked for her and she would get some say in what happens to her, which doctors or therapists she sees. There is no reason to control her this much. She even said she can’t get dressed without being monitored which is a basic level of privacy she should have.
The problem with the conservatorship is that they want to have it both ways. They want to control her as much as possible but they also want her to continue working so they can keep making money off her whilst denying her the money she has rightfully earned. A person under a conservatorship is assumed to be too incapacitated to work, that’s why they’re under a conservatorship. She is either too unwell to work, or if she is well enough to work then the conservatorship should end. They cannot have it both ways.
I urge you to watch the Framing Britney documentary on Hulu if you haven’t seen it. It explains it so much better. I don’t doubt she is mentally ill and needs some strong medication, possibly needs to be monitored 24/7, but I also have my doubts when millions of dollars are at play here and they are clearly being medically abusive by putting her on lithium and an IUD against her will. IUDs are an absolute nightmare and I’ve yet to hear of a woman having a good experience with one. They can make you crazy depressed or even suicidal. I will never ever get one. I cannot fathom the trauma associated with a doctor shoving a piece of copper into my uterus and forcing me to keep it forever. That is basically sexual/medical abuse.

Yes, I agree. With all you said. It’s sad her family seems to be using her.

I cannot fathom the trauma associated with a doctor shoving a piece of copper into my uterus and forcing me to keep it forever. That is basically sexual/medical abuse. That is actually wrong information. A copper IUD does not cause depression because it doesnt work with hormones. Also it doesnt stay forever but usually around 4 years before it has to be removed. I do have a copper IUD and while I will not go into details of my period etc, I can assure you that myself and many of my friends are very happy with it. The other form of IUD is the hormonal IUD. It CAN cause depression in the same way that the birth control pill CAN cause depression - because both work with similar hormones. It also stays for around 4 years in your body before it will be removed. Both form of IUD are not 'shoved' into your uterus. You get pain medication and the whole procedure takes around 10 minutes. It hurts, but none 'shoves' anything, it's professionally inserted and while it can hurt a lot for 5 seconds, it is absolutely save when it's done by a doctor. Sorry, I just wanted to clear that up as it's really important to know the facts about different types of contraception. Anyway,of course I agree that in Britneys case it's abusive to force her to have an IUD. Unfortunately this is very much normal for many disabled women...

Ah thanks for clarifying. I honestly don't know much about IUDs (clearly) 'cause I've heard a lot of bad stuff about them and honestly never want to get one (I would not be able to anyway). Good to know it isn't as bad as I thought, or maybe they are better now than they were years ago. In any case, it is not right for Britney to have one if she doesn't want one and she clearly wants it removed.

How come you can’t get one? That's a pretty private question tbh.

It's so unfortunate and sad. Money can be such a curse sometimes.

Yeah it’s awful. I can’t imagine what it’d do to you mentally to not even be able to trust your parents and know they have your best interests at heart. Really hope she’s able to get back some control of her life, work on her mental health and surround herself with people who care about more than just her money. Very sad.

Its extremely sad because parents are the only ones whom anyone should be able to trust blindly. Most parents work hard not to earn money themselves, but so that their children can have a better life. They dedicate their lives to children, and here its completely opposite and really sad. It never ends well. I have seen several Indian actresses (especially during the 1950's-60s )who were the sole breadwinner of their families - they struggled through a lot of emotional, physical & mental abuse as their family was using them, they eventually had a sad ending and died a lonely death.

That's a pretty private question tbh. It is? I’m not even sure what it is. An IUD is a medical device inserted into a woman’s uterus as a form of birth control. It’s frankly none of your business why I can’t have one.
