The explicit version of I Don't Give wasn't on the American Wedding soundtrack, it was the clean lyrics version. I'm pretty sure that the explicit version never got an official release. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Is the word "cookt" still used as the past tense/participle of cook, in the UK? I read somewhere it was once considered correct English and has been obsolete for longer than I have been alive. Just curious. To anyone learning English, don't feel bad. After 60+ years, it still confuses me. There are so many rules that make no sense at all. The abbreviation for "pound" is lb. There is no L or B in pound. WTH On this forum LBS is little black star. Everywhere else, LBS = pounds. Lol, no cook is not used, ever. "Cooked" is used as the past tense and participle. I can't speak for Brits, but Americans would never even think of using cookt. It is definitely an obsolete word. I have heard of burnt and learnt before, but never have I heard or seen cookt. The only circumstance an American would used cookt would be if it was a typo or some kind of mistake, lol. We wouldn't even think that it would be acceptable. But to expand on the topic of abbreviations for words pounds, English sometimes takes things from other languages and adapts them to itself. For instance, lbs. is used as the abbreviation for pounds in English because it borrows it from latin. Lbs. is the abbreviation for pounds in latin, whatever word that may be Even though it's my native language (and only language for that matter), English does not seem difficult to me. I don't understand why German-speakers group words together in order to create larger words; that just seems messy and confusing. Maybe it's a first-language phenomenon, in which one's first language seems far less confusing than their additional languages. It would be really interesting to get an opinion from someone who grew up learning two languages simultaneously. Even though you can teach an old dog new tricks, humans learn language much better while their brains, neurons, and network connections are forming and maturing. I remember hearing somewhere that there are two types of multi-linguists. One type thinks in their secondary/tertiary/so..on languages through their first language in order to make sense of them, and another type that thinks in their secondary/tertiary/... languages in the same way they would think in their first languages. Like some people have to refer to their first language in order for another language to make sense, while others don't have to do this. And I think it has to do with when/how the languages were learned (<-- lol).

May I dare to stray away from the topic-yet again-and ask what ASDA is? ASDA is the British version of Walmart. It used be owned by Walmart, but it's not anymore. And if you don't know what Walmart is, it's a department store/warehouse store.

You can find songs worthy of being singles on any kind of album Avril may make. Avril can have hit songs that aren't typical pop songs. It seems like the label wants Avril to be like these pop artists, but Avril should look more towards bands for inspiration; that's what the label should want.
I remember that Avril used to take inspiration from bands like Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls, and Matchbox Twenty. Avril doesn't have to sound like other bands or even take inspiration from; she should do whatever she wants, but if her label is going to force anything on her, they shouldn't just focus on forcing mainstream pop. There are so many artists and bands who aren't considered pop but still chart successfully on pop charts. Why do her labels think that the 'mainstream pop sound' is the only way for Avril to go?
Avril has been making music for a really long time; and although times and ways of doing things change, Avril still knows what she should be doing. I would just love for her label to allow her to do everything her way and not interfere so that she can shove it in their face that she can be successful without their handholding. Maybe if Epic strayed from interfering with her music and focus solely on promoting the music, Avril would actually get proper promotion. That's another thing that I don't understand about Epic; they want her to have these pop hit songs, but yet they don't promote them well. Sometimes a song can do extremely well without promo, but most of the time promo plays a part in a song's success. Epic needs to get their heads out of their asses!

I liked the crown from the Maxim shoot and the crown from the HTNGU video; not for every day attire though

These have Avril's backing vocals. Even though they say instrumental, they're not. You'll find more of what you're looking for on this youtube channel, UMS125This soundcloud channel, _WhatTheHell_ has some pretty cool filters of AL songs. I think it is ran by a member from BA, who I think also had a youtube channel called Dani64. He had acoustic instrumentals posted of him playing Avril songs on guitar. He also had other Avril-related videos. His channel doesn't exist anymore though.

Now we are in grammar class mode, I have a question: is there any difference between learnt/learned and burnt/burned? Are they used for different things or they are just two accepted forms of writing the past/participle of their verbs? Burned is the past tense of the infinitive "to burn;" basically it's a verb. Burnt is a past participle (an adjective made from a verb); basically it's an adjective. Examples: I am going to burn this piece of paper. Verb. Present Tense. I burned this piece of paper. Verb. Past Tense. This piece of paper is now burnt. Adjective. Past Participle. The same goes for learned and learnt. Except in the US, learnt is almost never used. But actually (and this goes for burned/burnt as well) learned and learnt can both be acceptable uses as past tense verbs and can both be acceptable uses as past participles. The form that you are most likely to see depends on the source. American almost always use burned burnt interchangeably, but almost never use learnt and only use learned. I think Brits more commonly use burnt and learnt; just like how Brits put U's in words like colour, while Americans would not put in a U. Long story short, yes, they are both two accepted forms of writing as past and participles of their verbs.

Lol, in my opinion she would have to re-write the whole song then-and probably it would lose all its value. The only "special" thing about that song is the double entendre. And ironically, that's the reason the song would be too controversial for the movie!

On one side, I can see why Avril would go in a more mature direction with her next album, due to her recent experiences with lyme disease and her new outlook on life (quote: her second chance). But on another side, I can see why Avril would want to go in a fun and upbeat direction with her next album, due to the fact that she has been kept up for long while ill.
She probably want to experience as much as she can and have as much fun as possible, after she completes her treatment. But if Avril want to have fun after being ill for so long, it doesn't necessarily have to reflect in her music. Maybe she just wants to try new things such as acting. And if she starts writing new songs with a fun mentality, the 6th album probably wouldn't even contain of those songs anyway (since it seems that her albums tend to feature the most recent written songs). But if Album 6 does get songs that are fun and upbeat, Avril can definitely find a way to make them fun and mature at the same time without the need for brattiness.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I'm perfectly fine with more bratty stuff. For me, any new Avril music is great! However, I think her past styles have been overdone; I think it's time for her to turn a new leaf and discover a new sound that's different from the pervious albums.

I think fanbase names are mainly an internet thing and tend to be used by online media for the most part (fanbase contests, being the most obvious examples). I've never had any experiences in which someone used a fanbase name in RL. I think Avril looks better without glasses. Although I think that she looks fine in regular glasses, such as reading glasses or prescription glasses, the type of glasses like she wore in the HK video looked bad. I just think the color, size, and shape of those glasses looked terrible on her. In the WTH video, those glasses looked good on her, but only in the video lol. I've seen pictures of her with those same glasses on from different occasions other than the video and I think they looked bad. Whether glasses improve one's appearance is completely subjective. But as far as sunglasses go, I think Avril can pull off any pair - even if she wears them indoors!

The song could always be edited to take out any parts that would potentially be too racy for a kids movie; and Avril could also re-record some parts of it if necessary. I don't think Avril would mind having to edit or re-record parts if it meant the song was going to be featured in a Hello Kitty movie.

It's a sad topic.. I got used to that site.. and this one is so uncomfortable for me.. so don't talk much, just fix it up asap because I'm getting angrier each day and if I'll burst even Chuck Norris doesn't want one of these.. At least get back the "new posts" button, I really need it On the homepage, under where it says "Forum Information & Statistics", there is a link called 'Recent Threads' that acts the same as the new posts button did on BA.

The two main artists that I follow are Avril and Taylor Swift; their fanbases are LBS and swifties, respectively. I don't think either of those names are too bad in my opinion; nonetheless, I don't really go around called myself a swiftie I think LBS is less embarrassing than swiftie though. I don't mind LBS. I like it better than Avrilers. The only thing that really bothers me about is the fact that it's from the GL era. That's the era that finally reeled me in, so it's fine for me, but it doesn't really represent her entire fanbase (especially those who are only fans of the any of the first three eras). It seems a little out of place to call the fanbase a name from the 4th album era (despite that the fragrance was released prior to that era). I don't get embarrassed telling anyone that I'm an Avril fan (partly because anyone who would recognize Avril name would know of her from any of the first three eras when she was really popular); but sometimes I do get embarrassed and refrain from telling people I'm a Taylor Swift fan because I find that a lot of people dislike her (or at least openly dislike her and secretly like her, lol). I just don't get embarrassed to call myself an Avril fan in spite of her infamous moments.
