For the uninitiated, an AMA (Ask Me Anything) is a type of interview done on Reddit ( /r/IAmA). According the the /r/IAmA subreddit: Basically, /r/IAmA is a place to interview people, but in a new way. "IAmA" is the traditional way of beginning the description of who you are; "AMA" is the traditional way of ending the description; the acronym means "Ask me anything." The interviewee begins the process by starting a post, describing who they are and what they do. Then, commenters leave questions and can vote on other questions according to which they would like to see answered. The interviewee then goes through and responds to any questions that he/she would like, and in any way that he/she prefers. Many famous people have done AMAs on Reddit. Avril's former guitarist Evan Taubenfeld even did one 3 years ago here. Would it be possible for Avril to do an AMA, maybe to help promote her 6th album? An AMA on one of the most popular websites will surely help bring her back into the spotlight.

Back when she did a Google Hangout thing a couple of years ago, I was pointing out that Reddit is the 'cool' place to interact with people in that way*. I don't think anyone knew what I was talking about at the time, but thanks to your explanation maybe people will finally get it. There are plenty of Avril subreddits, so it's not a question of her being popular enough on that site.
*Then again, I remember when Tom Hardy's AMA was trashed by some mischievous 4chan users. I don't recall the details but it got pretty ugly. I guess that was the point where Ask Me Anythings became Ask Me Almost Anythings.

She has done Q&A type things before but I don't honestly ever see her using Reddit. Facebook, Twitter, Google Hangout, sure, I could see her using those to do it and she has in the past.
