I used to think of How Does It Feel as a more filler-esque track (at least in comparison to the other songs on the album), but I have been listening to it on repeat lately. I just love that I can revisit the album and see something new in songs that I didn't see before.

UMS is my favorite album by her but I just hate how much volume compression is going on, to the point where most songs distort all the time. Wish I got my hands on that 2017 vinyl release, which seems to have better dynamics.

I think I liked LG better the UMS for some reason, maybe the variety of types of songs? Anyway, one of my favorite all time tracks is Forgotten. I always like the hard edged guitars when we do get them on an Avril album. I actually miss just having a rock style to her albums although HAW is great in it's own right. Nobody's Home, also excellent. The vocals on these two seem to work well with the music behind them. I think Together may have been the only one I wasn't as thrilled with on the entire album.

I feel like Who Knows and Freak Out are related, like they have the same theme and all if you know what I mean

Don't you get into Together? And also what about Take Me Away in this case?

Both songs scream "fuck it, I'm gonna do whatever the hell I want" i don't think Who Knows is about doing whatever the hell I want. It says taking action is more important then discussing and finding the reasons

Forgotten has also always been a favorite of mine.... aaaalong with Together. It's interesting that you don't like Together that much. For me it's like these two belong together and when Avril performed both on the piano on her Bonez tour, it only made it more obvious to me. I give you your freedome of taste of course, but for me it's not in any way clear why you aren't thrilled by Together.

I too always thought Together and Forgotten sort of went together. They're both piano-based and kind of heavy, rock-influenced songs.

This album was everything to me when I was growing up - I was actually so little when it first came out, I didn't even understand most of the lyrics haha.
Anyway, even though my preferences have changed so much, I'll forever be in love with Fall to Pieces. As soon as that guitar starts strumming, I'm way back in time. Sigh. <3
