The group consists of Scottish musician Shirley Manson (lead vocals) and American musicians Duke Erikson (bass, rhythm guitar, keyboards), Steve Marker (lead guitar), and Butch Vig (drums). All four members are involved in songwriting and production. The band have counted worldwide album sales of over 17 million units.
Their debut album, Garbage, was critically acclaimed, sold over 4 million copies, and was certified double platinum in the UK, US, and Australia while accompanied by a string of increasingly successful singles in 1995–1996, including "Stupid Girl" and "Only Happy When It Rains". Follow-up Version 2.0, released in 1998 after a year of production, had an equal commercial success, topping the UK Albums Chart and getting nominations for two Grammy Awards. Garbage followed this up by performing and co-producing the theme song to the nineteenth James Bond movie The World Is Not Enough.
Despite critical acclaim, Garbage's 2001 third album Beautiful Garbage failed to match the commercial success achieved by its predecessors. Garbage quietly disbanded amidst the troubled production of fourth album Bleed Like Me, but regrouped to complete the album, which was released in 2005 and peaked at a career-high No. 4 in the US. The band cut short their concert tour in support of Bleed Like Me announcing an "indefinite hiatus", emphasizing that they had not broken up, but wished to pursue personal interests. The hiatus was briefly interrupted in 2007, as Garbage recorded new tracks for greatest hits retrospective Absolute Garbage. Garbage ultimately regrouped in 2011, releasing Not Your Kind of People in 2012 and Strange Little Birds in 2016, via the band's own independent label, Stunvolume." Dicography

I used to listen to their stuff a couple of years back. I have their Greatest Hits CD known as Absolute Garbage, that came out in 2007. |

I love them! their comeback CD last year was the BEST comeback ever-except maybe David Bowie's- the only thing I quite can't get used to is Shirley's pink hair, lol, but as long as they keep being this good she can go bald if that's her wish lol

I love Garbage! Their debut has been one of my favorite albums for a while now. Unfortunately I never really got into Strange Little Birds (excluding Empty) but I may have to give it another listen soon. Also very excited for No Horses! Not quite sure what to expect with it but I'm hyped!

I looooooove Garbage since I heard I Think I'm Paranoid in Gran Turismo 2 when I was only 6, about the same time I started liking Avril.
Empty is on heavy rotation on my Spotify since last year, and Strange Little Birds is such a good album!
Also, Shirley is probably the most beautiful woman I've ever seen
