I'm not much of a thread creator, but I'm very interested in knowing which recent collaboration has been your favorite. Mine is "Listen" by far. The lyrics, the sound, her voice are all perfect in my opinion. She sounds like herself, with very little autotune and isn't making a weird pronunciation like on her latest one. It's not that she doesn't sound good on WC, but it's the first time I've had trouble in recognizing her voice. She's using a different voice style, and I prefer her standard style. The sound suits her very much and blends perfectly with her voice. She just sounds better with instruments, and it's undeniable. This would be a direction I'd be very interested in seeing her explore in her next album. What about you?  |

I'd vote for Listen as well but I really like all the collaborations. I don't really get the hate on Get Over Me. I mean it's not the greatest song ever but it's really catchy and I think she sounds good singing it.
I also think she sounds really good on Wings Clipped even if it's a different style than what she usually does. The whole song is kind of a mess but up to Avril's part it really sounds like a modern song I could see her doing. I know her fans are partial to her pop/rock stuff but I think she should try to adapt into some other styles. That kind of music isn't super popular anymore and I don't know if it really suits her anymore as an artist. When she was younger, sure. But now I think trying more mature sounds could be a good direction.
I think Listen works very well for her style and voice. It sounds pop/rock but also modern at the same time. It sounds the closest to something she would do in her own music.

Get Over Me>>> I really like Wings Clipped though and I can see it becoming my favorite over Get Over Me in the future. It's a new and modern style that Avril hadn't tried before so I'm really surprised and glad to hear it! As for Listen, I've never been that big of a fan of it. BUT none of these collabs will ever top the masterpiece that is the Girlfriend remix.  |

Wings Clipped is cool too , I'm not a fan of Get Over Me that sound is exactly what I don't wanna hear from her, not anymore.

I voted for Wings Clipped.I think I've only heard Listen about 3 times. It's not I don't like that song I just haven't felt the need or wanted to go back to that song and listen to it more times like I normally do with her music.

Wings clipped. Her voice just sounds amazing! Its different and so good .
But the rest of the song is big mess her part is the only good thing going on in the song tbh

Wings Clipped. Get Over Me is cringey and I only ever really listen to the non-Avril version of Listen.

I just watched all three with lyrics. Get over me looks most consistent as a whole. It's too pop musically for me though. Listen has a very primitive and nonsensical lyrics, but the music is better. Wings clipped, well. I only listened up to the 1:28, thus the Avril's part. The lyrics is kind of a more developed nonsense than in Listen, more saturated with idioms and metaphors so to say, I can't say anything about music, I just forgot what it was  but yes, Avril sings there and it's new, sooo, in general, I cannot choose the winner - all of them aren't on the playlist for me. |

Wings Clipped. I like the lyrics of that song best and although I really like Listen I don't put it on that often. I've always thought Get Over Me was pretty dire.

I love 'Listen'! I love dark sound, guitars, text (simple but deep), the duet is perfectly successful and the voices integrate harmoniously. Avril's voice moves me a lot and her high notes are spectacular! 'Get Over Me' doesn't convince me. The text is embarrassing, Avril's voice appears for a very short verse. I don't like Carter. I like the guitars, but the rest of the base is unsuccessful. I like 'Wings Clipped', although I don't like electronic music in general. They have found a right sound for Avril! The text is nice, Avril plays it divinely. But I don't like distorted sounds, these are annoying, ruin the song. In general, it seems to me that her voice has become more powerful and richer in nuances. She can use her voice in many different ways with safety and spontaneity, and it sounds much more natural! I'm glad the disease didn't ruin it |
