I think the opposite. I think Avril tries TOO hard with her acting. Every time I watch her act, it looks like she is doing what is her idea of acting. It's hard to explain. It's like watching a parody of an actor or something. IMO she overacts, she never sounds natural. She is quite good in roles where she isn't required to speak, such as the Nobody's Home music video, the Bethamphetamine music video, her role in The Flock (except the one line she had), the Girlfriend music video, etc. But any time she's had to speak, she always sounds like she's overacting. The RNR video is a good example of that, although I'm not sure if maybe that was supposed to be over the top. I think Avril is really good with showing emotion, especially if it's dark and somber, it's just when she has lines she sounds unnatural and like she's trying to overact. Hopefully if she's serious about this acting thing, that she continues working with an acting coach. I think the best kind of roles for her would be something dark, like a horror movie or a drama. I know she has said she would love to play a dumb cheerleader type and while I think that would also suit her (kind of like the Girlfriend video) I fear she would overdo it to the point where it would not be believable at all.

What's your opinion on Avril's acting in Fast Food Nation? Anyway, I agree that Avril is better in roles where she isn't required to speak.

Zach from the old site sent me a video once but I couldn't get any audio from it. And it's not on YT that I'm aware of. There are either non-English versions or the full movie which I'm not interested in watching.

It wasn't a long part, but I think she was correct. I don't remember where I watched it though, but I did watched it in English.

I can't judge Avril's acting though because I was so excited about Avril's presence itself that I wouldn't have had any complaints even if her acting had been terrible.

Here's a complete concert I had the pleasure to attend 11 years ago. So many good memories!

I love this performance of My Happy Ending, I feel it's one of her best acoustic sessions It's so nice seeing her be so humble and appreciative when she was just starting BTS are always nice Don't have too many of them.

That NH performance is pretty much my favorite of that song she's ever done, other than in Budokan. For one thing, I love any performance where she's playing solo. And I think she may have been ill in that performance but it gave a cool effect to her voice. I particularly always loved the part where she sings "She's fallen from grace", the way that she sings "grace" is so powerful. And how she sings "place" on "all over the place" is so Alanis. If you really listen to all of the nuances in this performance, I think it's really one of her best vocals of her entire career.

I stumbled across this GL era interview on YouTube that says "unseen" and I don't think I had seen it before, so I'll post it here for anyone who wants to see it: There really isn't anything new though, she discusses Abbey Dawn (lol, there wasn't one GL interview where she didn't mention it ) and basically how personal GL is to her.

I absolutely love when Avril performs Tomorrow live! It's such an emotional song. It's simple, yet embodies a very powerful message.
And I just watched the performance of Avril performing the song on the TTSMU tour after she got word of her grandfather passing away. I definitely channel Avril's emotions and feel for her during that performance. I think she has so much strength for finishing the show after that, especially since you can tell how heartbroken she was.
For anyone who wants to watch the performance:

That performance always breaks my heart, especially when she says "This song goes out to my grandpa who passed away today." It was a great performance though, the fact she can sing that good while crying
