well it seems that no more singles this year. These weeks have been empty of new music, this was her moment, not 2019. We know the album is done, but this silence and the 2019 release date got me thinking. Are they recording more for the album? HAW is not doing how they expect it and now are reworking the singles. I mean all her friends said she was going to take 2018 but HAW only stayed on the Hot 100 for 2 weeks and it is out of the most popular charts, the YT views are closer to the daily streams of her older songs. Why no more singles this year? I bet a new single will come in November, or at least a promo track. We finally have a God damn month, they'll probably put the pre-order up in November or December. I've checked the calendar and the album can only be released these days: 1, 8, 15 or 22. The week of the 28th is already March at the end of the week. I hope for the 1st of February... |

Anyways, it was nice to hear that Avril is doing good. Despite not getting new details about the album. I just wish not all her interviews were dominated by tattoos....and the past. Realize how every era they interview her they reminisce about the past.

The story of Chad supporting her when recording HAW is really sweet.
Finally, we know a general release time! Feb 2019 is not that bad. I’m sure we will get more singles before then.

I've only just listened to the interview.
I hate just sitting there and listening to people speaking. It's so difficult for me. I need to see people speaking, I gotta have something to look at, otherwise I keep getting distracted. Ugh!
I'll still try to summarize the most important things as best I can:
- Avril mentioned that she still has bad days (I think she meant mentally, but I'd have to listen to the interview again to be sure).
- When Avril was still sick, she'd record some stuff in Chad's studio, and when she was singing HAW (for the first time?) she started crying, it was so emotional for her.
- "Warrior" is still on the record.
- Avril produced a couple of songs on the record.
- "We're putting the record out in February" (2020?
 ).
I've read on Twitter that apparently she also confirmed the album to be called "Head Above Water", but I couldn't hear any of that on the interview. I might have missed it, though. I also might have missed or misheard some other stuff, so my apologies if any of the above is wrong.

Damn, some of these radio hosts are soo self-centered it's lame. This woman seemed more interested in being the center of attention and barely left Avril any room to talk. I don't really see the point in inviting an artist so that you spend more than half of the interview talking about yourself, which I'm sorry, nobody really cares. I would've wanted her to ask more about the album or let Avril talk a little more.
Having said that, it's cool we finally have a title and release month confirmed. Hopefully it'll be early Feb, but knowing Avril's team, it could be released on Feb 28th...

Yes, when Avril said she still has bad days, she did not elaborate too much, but I think she meant in general, I don't think she was referring to anything to do with the illness, to imply she is still sick or anything. I think she meant she goes through stuff like everyone does, or she meant she has emotional days I guess.
They were talking about HAW being the album title in a Facebook live that was not part of the recorded interview. Everyone was talking over her so it was hard to hear what she said about it, but I think it's safe to assume it will be the album title since it appeared in that leaked press release.

It seems she also stopped by the Valentine in The Morning show as well, so we might get a new interview from them. Plus, we also have that video she shot for iHeartRadio earlier today. Wonder what that is for... Maybe she'll be at the Jingle Ball concert series in December?

I don't think they will change songs on the album just because HAW didn't go as "they" /some fans/ expected. If she had the freedom to produced a couple of songs on it, there's nothing forced on the album and no need to go back to the studio to write more hits, I believe. We had one interview today, tomorrow we're having another one. HAW is being added to some radio stations so maybe this is now when real promo is starting. I hope that in tomorrow's interview we can get something different from what we got today.

If there is now new single in around two weeks there won't next single until next year because it won't get radio airplay, radio is full of christmas music by the end of november. I hope there is promo single + jingle ball. Maybe she's expecting a grammy nomitation and the album will be out around the ceremony that is also on February, it will help her if she gets a nomination. |
