Not surprise at all for a February 2019 release: The worse is, it will be pushed back. I'm not the one who expect the album release this year because what she meant last July when she answered a fan's question is only for a single release this fall despite that the question includes when is the album release ー yet, she just answered, ''singles this fall''. Well, at least new album is coming, let's all be thankful for that.

I just listened to the interview. It's good to know the album will be out in February, I think it's way better than releasing it in December.
I'm really excited for the following interviews and I do believe this is the start of real promo.
It does look a bit like a mess, 'cause she didn't even know if she had said the album title and the radio's host was more concerned about bragging about having her own show and being Ryan Seacrest's side girl anymore, which is pretty bad and sad to shade.
All in all, I'm really excited for next interview and I hope she'll say something new  |

She said at MSS event the album will be out this year, now she is saying they will release the album in 2019 february.

I get why many are upset that the album isn’t coming out this year, even though we’ve kind of known this since the Bb article. Still, it’s the first time she publicly confirms a release month for this long, long-awaited record , and that’s something big. We know that after half a decade of waiting, we will get a new album in February.

A promo single doesn’t necessarily have to go to radio. It could just be a song that fans can get when they pre-order the album. And most radio stations play lots of Christmas music, but I think they mix it up with regular music. There’s pop stations that don’t play Christmas music at all. And anyway, who cares about radio anymore? Streaming is taking over and she could still release new songs for that. I doubt she has many fans who listen to the radio anymore. Radio is dying and they shouldn’t cater to only radio at this point. They won’t play her songs anyway, I mean they have barely been playing HAW, so who cares about radio? Release more singles for the FANS and we’ll actually buy it/stream it.
I do hope this interview with iHeart means she will perform at Jingle Ball this year, the sets are short enough that it would be plausible for her in case she gets tired easily. I also think after not touring properly since 2014, doing these kinds of shows with a short set list will help her ease back into performing before doing a tour. And she needs more than just HAW and a bunch of old songs to perform at those kinds of shows. She would likely perform HAW and whatever the next single is, then her biggest old hits.

She is doing rather well on spotify, so streaming is better than radio as you say She has gained nearly 6 million monthly listners with just HAW. And it has 28 million streams with little promo. So add a promo single before the album in january and it'll be more than acceptable, looking at her statistics Hasnt the jingleball line up been presented? Can she be added? Finally we have a date. I understand that many fear a further postponement, but hopefully that doesn't happen. February is a good month, and although we have been waiting her come back for so long, which can be tiring, we must be really glad that she's actually is releasing new music after all that happened. Let's hope for a new single soon.

AL is the only outlier (November). It really is like she wants a different month for every album release.
