I think we are just justifing Avril too much.
If Avril was on radio everyday we would be super happy, since no radio station has her, we say radio is dying.
If Avril made 100 M views on You Tube we would scream Queen Slays! Since she doesn't, we say that You Tube is not a thing anymore.
So ok, streams, she's good but not a queen of streams, so I mean..

Radio is not "dying" and is still important to the charts, and is connected to boosting digital sales performance which is her strongest achievement this era yet. It's the main reason Girls Like You is still #1 on the billboard hot 100 for 6 weeks now (it has a 116m audience on radio), cause it ain't even on the top 50 of spotify/apple music. So yeah let's not dismiss radio, avril needs it too

The interview in general was longer, they cut it shorter for the radio. You can see watching the video that there's a part that isn't in the audio and that they rerecorded the opening of the conversation. |

I haven’t listened to the radio in forever - only when the USB cable in the car breaks lol. It’s definitely an older persons thing now. Having a regular radio on is still very much the standard for all drivers from early youth to ancients on the road, at least round these parts. I like the 'live talk + random music' model more than bothering with setting up anything else that would supposedly be more tailored to my wishes, and besides, I only have the CD 'port' in my ride anyways. Jobs in various small service businesses such as restaurants, bars, hairdressers, etc. also rely on the good old radio to entertain their customers. |

I agree with all that is said about radio. In the end who know what will happen to it.
What I do know is that I haven't heard Avril on the radio in years.
Also today is the Australian radio interview! 😀😀😀😀
