[ALBUM THREAD] The Head Above Water Thread

Imagine Dragons released a song this week and last night the new album came out ...I think I like their way of promoting music more.

They also released like 4 albums in 5-6 years. With deluxe editions with plenty of bonus tracks. There's no point in comparing Avril to other artists I know but still it's such a waste. They are gonna release the album at some point, she will do the promo, she did record MORE songs that necessary. Why not use it all and make it count?

I had so much hope when they released HAW, great song, great image, mature lyrics, but now I’m just a bit confused. I don’t get what they’re doing, hype died by the end of September. Like others have said, they’re teasing and taking ages like it’s 2004. That’s not what everyone else does in 2018 lol.

So there is nothing new again.

I think you can't compare release/promo up against eachother - cause its done so randomly.
Avril and her team can do much better. No doubt. But still.


I think we are so impatient in this time and date. (Not saying AL6)
We are used to get things after maximum a day or two of announcment.
Things are moving faster and faster - aperantly Avril has a lot of time. Were as we need the new album ASAP.
And yet we wanted the album the day after the single.
When the album is released, will we have the time to actually listen to it before we need the next one?

In the past couple years, I became a huge Avril Lavigne fan. I've been waiting for this album for years and so have all of you. I love Avril but the way she's doing things right now isn't right. In the beginning,like around the beginning of 2017 or maybe late 2016, she was post hints about the song. Some very small hints. And then I remembered being so happy when I heard that it was going to get released the end of 2017 but it got delayed. And then i heard it was going to get released at the end of 2018, but it got delayed again. This album has been delayed more than once and we barely know anything about the album that has been confirmed.

I just think thats really rude. Teasing us and then leaving us hanging while we been waiting for YEARS. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on her, I'm just extremely frustrated since music nowadays kinda suck.

And I get it. She's been extremely sick and she was close to dying. That's a perfectly good reason why the albums not released. But we all know, that her being extremely sick is gone. She's not dying anymore. She's feeling a lot better. You could tell my by the jimmy Kimmel live performance and the Honda live performance.

What I don't understand is why isn't she giving us information about the album. Those interviews absolutely had nothing relevant in it. And even if she isn't feeling good to go out and promote the album physically, she could just post things online.

Us, the fans, should do something about it. Like a protest. Tell her how we feel about it. We should spam her Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter and tell her nicely that we want this album or spam her for a Instagram live. We need to ask her to do things. I'm done complaining and waiting. Maybe if we tell or ask her for things NICELY, she might give us what we want.
