Maybe he acted nice to her face and trashed her behind her back. That was my first thought, actually. Which is hilarious considering how awful his band —and career in general— is  Avril definitely did him a favor, not the other way around. And I hope she never plays HTNGU, Smile or WTH again. Pay them dust, Ramona. I hope she plays Things I'll Never Say at least one more time, though! That was a nice surprise the last time she did. The hate on WTH again. It’s a bop, and it’s needed in her concerts, for better for worst. |

She has teased Crush, Warrior, IFILWTD (potentially), there are rumors about Dumb Blonde being the next single (from "insiders", so I take that with a grain of salt) and now Birdie was registered. Who knows what could happen  maybe the next single is Head Above Water (Trap Remix) Feat. Bebe Rexha, Bonnie McKee, Skye Sweetnam and Lil' Mama... coming out in 2020I'm a little sad you didn't do who knows.mp3 this time.. |

I wonder if her habit of partying and drinking while in the studio is the reason many of these relationships end badly. Like maybe they can't be professional when it matters afterward or what. Since she always ends up on bad terms with her collaborators.

I think, if I remember correctly, there was a post about Martin not thinking Avril was putting enough emotion into recording the song.
Even Chad made a comment about pushing her to sing during recording AL.

So they think she's lazy with her vocals?
I mean I could see that. A lot of her performances look dull.
However, her voice is really nice so I don't see that being a big problem. For example, when she recorded Innocence. It was the first take and bamb ready. But then again that was with the great Rob Cavallo.
Back to my earlier comment about her partying in the studio. Cavallo looked the only one uncomfortable but he ended up having fun. Said good things about Avril in the documentary of TBDT. Or did they end up on bad terms too?

Not that he’s ever said. I think he was uncomfortable when she was shaking it off close to him. But then he seemed to just say WTH.

Can someone remind me what happened between her and Butch? Do we know? He thought tbdt was going to be the first single, she got sent back to work with Luke who basically took TBDT and made Girlfrkend and then they released GF without telling Butch. |

About the Butch fallout. They worked on GL together. He produced SST. So the GF thing may be right but that wasnt when the fallout happened.
A few years later, he wrote a book. He claimed Avril got the idea of the tank top and tie from him. He saw him once and she said it was cool. Next thing he knew she was on tcv with the tank & tie. There was something else too. At least this is what I remember came out a few years ago. Whether it's true idk. I don't remember the source.

I think she is lazy whenever she has to sing songs that she's pushed to sing and not the ones that she wants to include in the album. Yes, songs such as WTH and HTNGU (sue me). If you watch her TV performances she looks... empty, bored, distant. And that BTS video where she says the director changed her concept for the HTNGU video to "just prom" was just sad. I can't blame her! When she is in full control (see: the TBDT album), you get the whole spectrum —when she's having fun, you have fun with her, when she gets emotional, you can feel it, etc. She should ditch her label and start her own tbh. Abbey Dawn Records The Ramonas Records, and be in full control again, because when she does what she wants, we get what we like (see what I did there). |
