[ALBUM THREAD] The Head Above Water Thread

I have barely enough power in my batteries to live from day to day in this awful autumn weather, there's no chance I'll lift my fingers just to unfollow Avril in hopes that she notices it. 





I do, however, find enough energy to shitpost over here daily, so I guess I'm a bit hypocritical. 

I don't think you can really compare Yolanda Foster or other people who have Lyme with Avril, since every person who has Lyme is different. From what Avril wrote in her letter about "listening to her body," she may still have some kind of issue like needing to take more breaks or rest more often, considering she was bedridden for half a year and said she lost muscle mass because of it. However, I don't think she would have started a new era if she wasn't healthy enough, or surely her team would let us know if something serious has happened. I truly hope she is well and that nothing bad has happened, like this lip synch contest thing almost seems like some idea they came up with out of nowhere to distract fans, but it is nothing that can actually help promote Avril's music at all. I just hope it isn't something they thought of to create a distraction while Avril is dealing with something.

I just find it really odd and suspicious that she would tweet lyrics 3 days in a row and then nothing. That strategy is completely useless unless they were planning to release the song immediately after. They cannot seriously be this clueless about how promo works. Even if Avril is taking a break, they can still release a new song. I also think the album is done and that there isn't any dispute over final song listing or going back to the studio. There is really like zero excuses at this point, no matter whose fault it is.

ETA: I don't think unfollowing Avril will do anything. A significant amount of people would have to unfollow her to even make a noticeable dent and I don't see most people doing that. I don't think her team would care either, she has millions of followers, and they know her fans would follow back once the album is out.

How do you know HAW was originally produced by Rotem? There is literally no evidence that points to that being the case. And Birdie was registered on ASCAP recently, with Rotem as a cowriter. So... no.

Never heard of Nick Ruth. His discography doesn't include any artists I've ever really listened to...

Carah Faye rings a bit of a bell, but I might also be confusing her with someone else. But according to Wikipedia she can play the bass and the drums, among other things, and her genre is rock. As someone who loves rock music and powerful drums, this sounds promising to me.

I've also read on Twitter that apparently the length of "Birdie" has been revealed to be 3:30, but I don't know if this info is reliable.
