Did she follow up on that instagram story that told us to post videos singing along HAW? She said she'd repost some... I'm also very frustrated with how inactive she's been, she was more active BEFORE the era started, how's that even possible??

What is going on? This is ridiculous. Release a single that’s supposed to be the start of your comeback then go silent and disappear for several months? Who’s genius plan was that? Is it really her team or labels that are the problem, or is she a significant part of the problem? You don’t really have to be that knowledgeable about the industry to realize that if you disappear for months, no new music, no interaction, nothing, that people aren’t going to care anymore. HAW seemed to do pretty well considering she didn’t release anything in years...completely wasted. Does she really expect people to remain excited until February while getting basically nothing? Looking at, say, Ariana’s twitter, and seeing how active she is and how she interacts on there, puts Avril to shame and makes her look like a joke. Imagine if Avril was anywhere near that active on social media. I get that that they are both at very different stages in their careers, Ariana is at her peak and Avril’s time at the top has already come and gone years ago but still.  |

The one thing I learned from the Housewives of Beverly Hills, was that Yolanda Foster had great days in between really sucky ones. She had to take breathers even when just a minute ago she seemed fine.
I've been thinking about could it be the same with Avril? That the moment she thinks she is fine - isn't actually true. Or is, for that actual minute, but the next day she is suffering again.
It's the only reason I could think as a legit reason for her recent behavior.

In a way the fact Avrils no longer at her peak like Ariana should make her communicate more - not just to sell more records but to give back to the fans who are still here. The likes of Ariana don’t need to be that active (fab that she is though!) as she’s so popular people will buy her music whatever. Artists like Avril who aren’t popular anymore really should be putting the work in to show they’re thankful for the fan base they have, especially a fan base that has been screwed over for 3 albums in a row. This era looked like it was gonna finally come good when HAW was released but it’s a mess, again. |

Idk anything about Lyme Disease or the housewives. But I searched on YouTube for clips of Yonland Foster during her Lyme Disease struggle on Housewives. And well I found this interesting clip that kind of describes us with Avril. We're the lady in the purple dress and Yolanda is Avril. Idk if Avril is still going through this but if she is. Why did she decide to launch this era? I would be okay with just getting new music (an album) no tour, no appearances. Just keep us informed. Is all I ask. |

Your time at the top isn't as sharply determined as that sentence of yours could imply, there's been tons of artists with more lengthy career tops. The way Avril is often described as a long gone star makes it hard to believe that she's actually a year younger than Nicki Minaj, who is still very much relevant and at the top. Also, an even more irrelevant thing, but I'll kidnap this thread for it - where is this pic from???

Whoopadeedo, indeed it is, didn't know Avril was a part of those leaks back then. edit: did the only sensible and dishonorable thing, and checked out the rest of the pics. To my surprise, they were one of the most boring behind-the-scenes pics possible. A bunch of poorly lit pics of Avril looking kinda discomfortable in (what appeared to be) an incredibly bland hotel room. Some vacation photographs which easily compare to instagram pics of your regular middle-class woman on a vacation in Mexico/Tunisia/Egypt/Turkey. There also are some pics of kisses and boobs in there, but that's a story for another time. |
