I'm also wondering how much lies we can get at this point? 
She said HERSELF at the MSS Gala that the album will be released THIS YEAR, and now she THINKS it will be out in February.
Don't even mentioned the year of lies - 2017 - with the FB chat and all...

Let’s hope maybe it was a scenario of the Honda people asking her to choose an old hit to perform, maybe they specifically requested Girlfriend, and because it doesn’t fit the rest of her new music, she didn’t want to be performing it and that’s why she looked bored? Idk I’m grasping at straws here lol

I’d like to think she does care about the fans but maybe she just has a terrible way of showing it. I think someone needs to teach her how to use social media to interact with fans and promote herself. Remember how she didn’t even know what FB live was? Could be that she’s just blissfully ignorant. She uses social media perfectly fine when hanging out with friends or some other BS. But I think she has zero clue how to do promo with it and has her team take care of that. If only someone just showed her all the stuff she can do to interact with fans. She probably doesn’t have any idea she can do an IG live.

I’d also like to think she hasn’t lost passion for music. Music was what got her through Lyme and she almost thought she’d never make another album again. She wouldn’t have recorded a new album and written personal songs about what she went through if music wasn’t still important to her. She did say more than anything she wants to get back out and perform and tour. When was this Honda thing shot? Back in September? Who knows, maybe her allergies were really bothering her and she wasn’t feeling well, it could have just been an off day for her. She’s never really looked super enthused on stage especially in her early career. Only time wil tell what is in store for this new era in terms of quality. I just hope the tour isn’t half assed again where it’s mostly singles. Or a repeat of GL where she doesn’t perform the songs because they’re “too personal.”

I think if we don’t get a single this month there is probably no hope of getting any more singles this year. In December she will probably promote Baby It’s Cold Outside which most fans didn’t care about in the first place or already bought last year lol Anyone else find it sad that she released more songs as features in the last year than she did off her own album?

Looks like she's not having fun singing Girlfriend anymore. Maybe is time for a show like the Roxy. But she's actually doing nothing. I don't know if we have to blame her, her team or BMG. But this is getting sooo boring...

My 68 year old mother has managed to grasp how to use facebook and instagram, i'm sure Avril could pick this up (with all the spare time she must have at the moment) and begin to communicate with fans. It's not just about her communication through social media, she could post letters on her website, she could record some home made videos and post them, heck she could even pay someone to do this if she really wanted to. We also can't just blame BMG, i'm sure Avril has some say on how she is marketed and if she wanted to market herself more heavily then i'm sure she could.

Also it's very easy for her to say music got her through Lyme Disease, and this certainly may be the case, but what about giving back to her fans who have followed her through such a long hiatus? Even if she posted an explanation on why the album has been delayed with a couple of snippets that would be better than nothing.

My honest opinion is that AL6 has pretty much been an on going side project for Avril, a bit of fun that she can jump back into whenever she wanted to but not a serious move for her singing career. She's made her fortune and I think she will pretty much fade out of the spotlight after this album and happily concentrate on being an LA socialite.

Based on BMG insta story they decided to promote Dido new album which also has a fucking release date instead of Avrils. Intresting.

Well if you ask me, there's a huge difference between the HAW performance and the girlfriend one. It was done/recorded with a couple of minutes difference. She couldn't change her mood from one minute to the other, could she? Her vocals were good despite the nasal voice due to (our guess) allergies. It really seems like girlfriend was a request or something. Maybe they thought that by performing her only #1 ww song people would be interested on her again, and they only get divided opinions. Many are happy and then it's us who are kind of judgmental. Maybe we're beeing too harsh, even though I believe we are fair enough while judging everything that is happening around her comeback and how poorly are things beeing handled. Something caught my attention, while she was singing she say no or she look like the sound wasn't good or something... maybe from the very beginning something was not right. Am I trying to justify her? Maybe a little. I refuse to think she's lost interest in music/fans and everything related to the music industry.

It may seem like a buzz single. But her team wrote on her website "the first single from the forthcoming new album" so it is the first single. Btw her website is ugly, if only they didn't use that background.
