why would she sing girlfriend for the 472863th time? casuals know girlfriend and could not care about tracks that have never been played live. Yes, casuals know Girlfriend but she's supposed to promote her sixth album and not her third one. So if she's not willing to perform her new songs she can also just stay at home.

And here I am, yet again, totally over Avril... considering this is the third time in a row she’s had problems releasing an album, all on different labels, I think the problem is her... she must be so indicisive with what she’s doing she must not be able to commit to anything ever 🙄

I'm extremely surprised at the people who are saying "be grateful for one song", "leave her alone, she's ill"... Let's be honest, Avril pays almost zero respect to her fans, looks bored in almost every performance and pretty much looks like she's given up on her music career. Please remember that the reason Avril has the comfortable lifestyle that she has including money to pay for lyme disease treatment is due to her fans who have spent money on her music, tours and merchandise. It's very sad that she was ill, something that she has now gotten over, and even if she was tired or lethargic, she could sit down and sing songs with passion.. it's not just about her jumping around. I'm disappointed that all we have received is a sub par version of Girlfriend with sub par vocals. I don't think Avril is really connected with the music industry now or her fans, I think she probably lives in a bubble and has done for the last 10 years or so.
It's a real shame as this was an opportunity for her to reinvent herself, become more personable and give back to her fans but she doesn't really seem to care and if that's the case then i'm pretty happy to listen to AL6 when it's out but i'll be putting my money into artists that are grateful and care.

I absolutely agree with snapshot and BogoGog24. Illness is an excuse until a point - but we are over that point now for so long. She doesn't interact her fans literally AT ALL - how is her illness is an excuse here? Come on. And about the Girlfriend live - half-assed and boring, it looks like a rehearsal rather than a live performance. Sorry. Nothing to do with Lyme either. It looks like she lost her heart and the love for performing music. Anyone who handles her career sucks too. This video smells like they just threw a bone just for a pity or I don't know... |

I've no idea why such a performance, its not like someone forced her to go back into the spotlight. |
