I can't believe we'll get a new song in less than a week. Thank you, Gay Gods. Thank you, Satan. Thank you, Ramona & company. I don't wanna anticipate a very specific sound or whatever, I'll just let her surprise me. But honestly, I imagine it'll be an emotional song I'll probably cry to. I'm excited! Speaking about Ramonas, don't know if it is common knowledge round here, but the OG Ramona (the grandma) actually died last year (link)Anyway, I bet 20 bucks this upcoming song will be more low-key, and a piano-fest. Oh wow no idea her grandma passed last year. Maybe that caused part of the delay in recording since it happened in May right around the time she was recording. |

Maybe I'm wrong, but I imagine a strong powerful ballad about a break up... the single cover is pretty "gothic" and therefore I feel some MHE or NH vibe. Who knows. However it's really cool that we got new music before the end of the year! I was thinking the same, given the dark lyrics and theme... but I'm open to everything, even jazz, I just can't wait  haha |

I really do agree with that this next song is going to be jazz influenced and I'm happy about it, I just hope is not that cheesy / happy kinda jazz-pop that, for instance, this co writter Melissa normally does based on the songs I've listened from her.
If Avril's going to go jazz I would want her to go for a darkish jazz sound, more like Amy Winehouse <3
I'd die for Avril to do a song like Wake Up Alone or You Know I'm No Good by Amy...

Maybe Melissa only co-wrote lyrics with Avril and wasnt involved in the sound production of the track. Anyways I'd love to hear how some jazz driven would sound in this new era.
