[ALBUM THREAD] The Head Above Water Thread

I love the concept for the album cover, and I predicted it months ago, which is so Raven of me.
The editing is terrible though! They need to fire whoever is in charge of editing her pictures.

I think, from the titles, which is not a lot of info, that we're getting less filler tracks this time. Glad she scrapped the Baby Rex track tbh. Sue me.
12 tracks isn't a bad thing, it's the perfect lenght imo. I highly doubt there will be an EP, she's an album artist.

My guess is that Dumb Blonde and Bigger Wow are the teen pop summer "hits", and the rest of the album is her original vision. Who_knows.mp3
I also think it's an album for the fans, it's not an ambitious pop record meant to be a huge smash and to dethrone the current trend of rap/urban/trap/whatever; it's a gift to us, and a celebration after almost fucking dying. I am happy and when it comes out, I'll tell you which songs I love, and which ones I don't.

As a funny sidenote, how would she even have her head under water in that picture? Kinda hard to drown in that puddle she's in, unless she somehow falls asleep face-first. Is that why she was asking God not to fall asleep? 

I'm speechless! Everything turned out to be different from what I thought. Album cover called "Head above water" has Avril sitting on the water. No dress, only her naked body and a guitar. I was like WTH at the very beginning but then I started to think about the symbolism behind it and it kinda makes sense to me. Now I can say I like the cover. It doesn't kill me but I like it more than AL5 Cover. I learnt not to judge an album for its cover so it may be an amazing album.
I won't judge the song titles, I will wait until I can listen to each of them and let them grow on me little by little. 12 tracks is ok to me. under my sking has 12 tracks too and its a fan favourite by far (I'm not generalizing).
I'm really curious about the vibe of the songs and how they make the whole album. Now #TellMeItsOver is what I'm waiting for so....Only thing I can say is that I'm really glad she finally is back after all these years and that she's able to make music and to express her heart and soul after what's she's been through struggling such an illness like Lyme Disease.

I really like the idea of the cover but it was bad edited and the guitar makes no sense when the songs are piano driven, this fits more GL. The cover would look beautiful with a better photoshop
