Serious question, what is that dark horizontal stripe on the guitars lower half?

So I've noticed that the last track on Avril's albums are usually ballads like Naked, Slipped Away, Keep Holding On, Goodbye, Hush Hush (some don't because of bonus/deluxe editions). So could Warrior be a ballad too? I don't remember what we know of Warrior but I believe the rumor was that it would be a power ballad.

I wonder if she'll continue the trend of the last couple of tracks be ballads. Bigger Wow doesn't seem like a ballad nor does Love Me Insane. I would love if this album ends with more upbeat songs or empowering songs.

I'm happy she's back in the business, doing what she wants, writing on topics she wants, not being forced to (hopefully). I'm fine with the album cover, actually I love it. Maybe some of you guys judging too much. I know you guys want perfection, but to me it's the contents that matter. It's useless to have a beautiful, gorgeous, perfect, unique album cover but the songs are just meh.

The large stripe is the saddle and it 'holds' the bridge where the strings are pinned and elevated slightly off the fretboard. Essentially it helps keep the strings in place for tuning.
