*whispers* I have literally no idea what sound you're talking about Anyway, I love this song. I'm so excited for this album now. She's experimenting and putting the damn effort in and it's all going so well right now. I thought HAW was solid but nothing out of the ordinary for her, which I guess is why they used it first and because it's about Lyme and signifies the start of this whole new era, but this is the better song for me.
Its the buzzing sound during the part where you see Avril from behind walking through the corridor right at the start. Its surely an artistic choice to have it in, it even fades out nicely right before the song actually begins. I think I've heard the sound in some songs before, but I can't recall which ones.. It’s the sound of neon light lol. Like the one coming from the room she’s walking into. It’s not part of the song. Listen to it on streaming.

It's the sound of the electricity, I mean the lights being ON. I listen to that sound everytime I walk through the hall from the subway.

I'm not sure what it is, its our dear Uncle Bob who hears 60hz fender hums, so he better get back here and make the final verdict

It was driving me crazy. I really couldn't imagine they would have allowed that deliberately. The neon light would hum at 60hz also. Actually, it's the neon lights transformer that hums. I'm a retired electrical engineer, and I shouldn't have been so single minded. But, I've been playing Teles and Strats through tube driven amps for 50 years. So that's the first thing that came to mind. I'm still willing to bet major bucks on the guitar and amp combo. I've never heard a convincing emulation of a Fender Twin Reverb.

If Stop Standing There was released as second single, I believed the reaction would even be more tense than this since the song was produced in a contemporary way yet has a fithty vibe. I think the biggest mistake about Tell Me Its Over is that the instrumental goes all the way back to metown yet the vocal has a lot of runs and riffs. It totally sounds like two things were separately done, kind of fall apart.I have no idea when Head Above Water was done in such a good job of combining contemporary and former style, why this was poorly done. Maybe because this isnt produced by the same one. I honestly tired of a song produced by more than 3 people as that always turns out bad like Here's To Never Growing Up. I dont get this idea too.
For the choice of single. I do really think her team made the best use of this song since it really has some Christmas vibe to it. Very suitable to release around this month

The song is wonderful, it can do amazing on radio because it's radio friendly, HAW failed on radio. They just need to send the song to radio or it won't chart because there is not hype on this song ´cause it's not the lead like HAW. If this is the second single it will be sent to radio I guess at the start of January.
Some of you can say Radio is not important as before but it is, there are some songs that are hits on streaming but never send to radio and do not chart well, for example, the shit of Taki Taki got massive numbers on YT, Apple Music and Spotify but was nerver send to radio and never entered the top 10.
Avril should consider herself as a new artist because her fanbase is not big enough to make her chart well, she needs promo or some payola ONLY IF SHE still wants a Grammy and another #1, if not, I am ok how the things are now.

Tell Me It's Over was produced by competent producers not by amateurs like Chad, Martin Johnson and others.

Well it’s unclear if this is actually the next single and is meant to go to radio, or if it’s just a promo single. I do think they should send it to radio though since it’s easily one of the most radio friendly songs she’s put out in years. But the thing is HAW flopped because of lack of promo, though I don’t think even with lots of promo it would have charted that high, but TMIO needs promo to succeed. It has amazing hit potential that unfortunately I see being squandered because they probably won’t give it the push it needs.

I don't think they are gonna give TMIO single treatment. They probably just released it with a cute cheap video just to promote the album pre-order and feed her fans a little bit until February. But they probably won't send it to radio nor promote it in a TV program.
Dumb Blonde will be the second official single IMO.
TMIO is still one of her best songs by the way.

I wonder when they are going to start to promote TMIO or do some live performance to catch some more audience. I don't know how it is doing on charts but I'm dying to listen to this song live.

Can't say about others, but given that Nickelback produces a good portion of their own songs, and given that Chad is part of it, I'd say that he's far from an 'amateur'. He might not be a top notch producer by himself like Max Martin or Luke, etc. is, but he and the rest of the Nickleback are more independent in making their music than Avril ever was.
