Because of Avril's love to hockey I guess it worths to create such a thread again  Well yesterday 10.05 has been started IIHF World Cup in Slovakia in the elite division! Participants are 16 best national teams from all over the world. Group A consists of: Slovakia, Finland, Denmark, France, Canada, USA, Germany and Great Britain. Group B: Switzerland, Russia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Latvia, Austria. I definitely support Canada first of all  Don't ask me why? Lol  Do you like hockey as a kind of sport in general? Do you follow this World Cup? Who is your favourite on this tournament? Also do you follow NHL, new European club tournament called Champions League, Continental Cup, KHL, etc.? Which team(s) do you support? Could Avril been a great hockey player? What do you think? Yeah, Avril really was! Canadian national team definitively misses such a player on this World Cup. Sadly, they lost the first game on the tournament against Finland with the score 1-3. Oh well NHL is The Best Damn League in the the whole world as you know So which team do you support in playoffs? |

Also Russian team is from another Universe. They play like Gods honestly...
All their star and superstar players are in the main squad. Some kind of Dream Team 4 Real. They improved so much their defence and goalies in comparing to last few seasons. And the offence was always one of the best in the world.
So, I bet that exactly Russia is #1 favourite on the tournament.
But who knows actually...

birdie2020 btw this World Cup is so intriguing one, every match is really interesting. Like FIFA WC 2018 was. I higly recommend you to start follow this tournament at least from semifinals or better immediately right now! You locked up in a cage hockey soul will be on 7th sky of happiness due to this!
