Arguably the most iconic slasher film ever, John Carpenter's Halloween was revolutionary in the horror genre. It gave way to many tropes and concepts that would influence future franchises, such as Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street. It was also the breakthrough role of Jamie Lee Curtis, who will reprise her role as Laurie Strode, alongside Nick Castle as Michael Myers, in the upcoming films Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. Anyone else super hyped about the upcoming films?

I love the entire Halloween franchise...even Halloween Resurrection which most people hate...I do hate the two Rob Zombie remakes but I don't really consider them part of the Halloween franchise

I really enjoyed the Halloween films too, also like reading about the mythology. Definitely a few wrong turns here and there, but it keeps things interesting.
I love Jamie Lee Curtis so I'm hoping the next two films are awesome. The recent one wasn't bad, but it wasn't *great*.
(I don't count the zombie films either)

Halloween (2018) was such a damn good sequel. I really love how they made it Halloween 2 and ignored all the sequels which brought in the plot that Michael and Laurie are brother and sister. That was never the intention when they made the original in 1978. He was just a shark and Laurie was his random target which made it so much scarier. Bringing it back to that simplicity made it so much scarier. Halloween Kills looks like it's going to be even better! I am such a fan of having sequels take place seconds after the last one. This is still Halloween night 2018 and that makes it so cool! I wonder if Halloween Ends will also take place the same night? Time will tell! This October is gonna be the best.
