Pop punk titles don’t need to be “love sux” 30 going on 13 scribbling on your school books. A few of them concern me in the same way the title Hello Kitty concerned me when we first saw that. Wait and see I guess, bratty immature Avril songs really aren’t my thing and that’s the vibe some of those titles give. Yeah I know what you mean about the track titles. Even the likes of Blink 182 who are obviously all in their 40’s right? Their latest stuff is fairly mature but still pop rock sounding. As for musicians using lower cases, I hate that. They should be in capitals as in ‘Nobody’s Home’. On some streaming services I think it might be Apple Music ‘I’m With You’ is stylised as ‘I’m with You’. That really annoys me. Or just my OCD.

B-Sides... maybe she does a SIDE A with a tracklist.. and a SIDE B with another one.
Or they keep them for a Deluxe Edition

Very few of those titles are giving me mature vibes. Half of them made me cringe. Hmm. This. I hope most of these track names are working titles. They don't give me much hope for a mature pop-punk where Avril's grown a bit like the direction Head Above Water headed in. Instead it's making me expect a somewhat mediocre attempt at just doing "again" what she used to do and trying to push it out the door quick to capitalize on the hype they're trying to sell with her "going back to her roots". If this all going quicker than normal really is some kind of reply to the disastrous livestream (a bit of a stretch but I've heard the idea before) in order to attempt to restore her reputation then I somewhat take that as a kind of desperate/childish "get back" attempt that might not mean much good for the album. I would like her to do some kind of anti-love song though like suggested above. That could be cool and I am seeing a little bit of self confidence in "Dare to like Me" which is nice. The amount of features I also find a bit worrying since it might indicate she's leaning harder on the people she's working with to fill out her album and it's identity which might result in it being a bit generic/messy/aimless. The attitude on that board (e.g. labeling the sessions Winter Wonderland) gives me hope most of these are just ways they refer to the tracks before they've fully decided on names. The stars probably indicate possible album picks or possible singles. All those little teasers, intentional or not, get me super hyped! Seems like I joined this forum at the right time 😀 Relatable! But at the same time I'm beginning to find it slightly tiring how there's something every day. I feel it would be much more effective to tease something every few days/week rather than burning through it all this quickly. This way they could burn through their energy very quickly followed by a long period of awkward silence or if they keep it up it might set up so much hype that's impossible to deliver on since people are getting their pop-punk craving tickled every day and expectations will be sky high. My bet is on Too Fast to Live being the album title. Shes riding motorcycles a lot. And that video with her saying "riding and writing into 2021 like..." gives me that vibe On one hand that seems very possible on the other it might end up very cringe. Because.... doesn't Mod Sun have that tattoo (above his crotch no less)? Naming your new come-back "returning to your roots" album after a tattoo of someone you're working with? Messy and weird. Maybe they are more involved with each other than we currently know in which case I've been lead to believe by this forum this album is now doomed and most of what we're seeing now will end up scrapped. Of all the possible names I've heard so far I definitely like "Ramona" the best.

So..."What The Hell" is ok but "what the hell" no? like,,,WTH? xD
I mean maybe it's an english thing but people don't randomly put capital letters in titles, it should be "What the hell" and that's it. BUT again, maybe it's an english thing IDK.
Anyway, the lowercase letters are porbably for styling, if you ask me, it looks more beautiful, it's all the same level, no random letters that are bigger. I also like all in capital letter bc the same reason, it's all the same level and height, and it also stand out way more. WHAT THE HELL, see? (of course for my personal taste, both title and name of the artist should be the same, for ex: It shouldn't be "Avril Lavigne - ross got 3 divorces but i'm gonna beat that record"....It should be: "avril lavigne - killing melissa"....or "AVRIL LAVIGNE - RAMONA'S BOYFRIENDS"
And I personally love weird title, it makes the song unique, that doesn't mean you have to do it when it's not necesary...like "4real" just sux...lol. I guess Sk8r boi was ok-ish. It was pretty unique at the time SO, props to her for making it stand out. I do agree that "idontwannabeyouanymore" is a terrible way to make a title LOL.
by the way, "tickets to my downfall", "internet killed the rockstar"....LIKE...i hope she does something WAY better than "To fast to live" 'cause that's such a boring title if you ask me....
some examples of great album titles:
The Best Damn Thing 1000 Forms of Fear Reputation (?) Tickets To My Downfall Internet Killed The Rockstar Anti Anti Generation Sad Girls Club
I don't know, i'm expecting something unique, a statement, not a simple phrase like "to fast to live" it's not even catchy or interesting....

I’m sorry but I just think Ramona would be a terrible name for the album.

For what it's worth, it would gain attention 😂😂 i agree it's not a pretty album title BUT it is funny and it's also a spanish name (kinda) and spanish is the 2 most spoken language. I can guarantee you that it will make some noise 😂😂 everytime i told my friends her second name they laughed so hard lol. you don't see many "Ramonas" here 😂😂
but nope, i don't see that happening xD

Maybe she will finally adress the conspiracy theory in a proper way: making a song about it, ala Taylor's reputation. And let's be honest, a pop-punk album is the best way to do it. fingers crossed.
OMG, i'm expecting a GF video 2.0, with the 3 avrils, Avril, Melissa and Ramona. 😍😍😍

One thing I've been thinking is that I hope there's some sort of bigger creative vision or art project associated with AL7. I hope she raises the bar artistically and is able to surprise us with something different than she's done in the past. Modsun is making his motto "movie" come to life by connecting all the visuals of his singles. It's done quite beautifully and it undoubtedly makes the entire experience a little more interesting to watch. We also know MGK basically turned his entire album into a musical film. I've watched "Downfalls High" and as a movie it is really nothing special, but you can't deny the ambition behind a project with that kind of dimension. They've also taken each song from his album and slightly rearranged it with different mixing and production to inject new life into the songs being used for the film.
I'm not saying Avril should go ahead and copy exactly what her peers are doing, I just hope she feels inspired to perhaps take on an artistic challenge of her own and raise the bar for herself to make the album cycle more intriguing and a little different. I'm also more than fine with the typical "singles out, album out, tour" deal, but it would be exciting to see her thinking outside the box creatively.

I'm just gonna say it: a pop-punk dance challenge 😂 Like, jokes aside, dance challenges are really killing it, kpop has a bunch of them every year that goes viral. Imagine all the emos doing a dance challenge to an Avril song. I pray for that every single night 😂 No but, i like the idea of making the album a movie or at least give every song a music video. It's not that expensive let's be honest, Today is pretty easy to make a music video. Of course that depends on what the album is going to be about. But MGK is not the first one to do that if i'm not wrong. Can't remember what band, (maybe FOB) had a visual album. (not sure if it's the same thing). But totally agree, she should do something....

I don't think there is a comparison between a titles like "The Best Damn Thing", "Tickets To My Downfall" and "Internet Killed Rockstars" to "Californyeah".
There is a difference between being edgy and trying too hard that it cringes. "Dancing with the Hurricane" or "Joker" could be examples of something that potentially sounds great. Hellelujah, not so much.
Either way, (1) we don't know if all this songs are going to be in the record, (2) if those are definitive titles and (3) even if they are the titles we don't know how they are going to sound. For example, I expected something very different when I heard she was doing a song named Push.
I am also truly afraid that she is pushing the punk thing, going back to the roots thing rather than envisioning the album itself. And you all remember how GF 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 turned out. And don't go telling me it is because of the producers because Max Martin is a beast, they could have done really great pop-rock if they were up to it.

GF 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 are all loved & remembered by GP and remain one of her best pop songs recorded. Outside of WTH, which one is remembered by the general public? lol. And I for example love RnR, that doesn't make it a great song, most people here don't particularly like it, and general public (which I usually don't care about) never knew of it/already forgot about it. I am not against her doing punkpop and going similar to her TBDT years. Like I said a few pages back, out of the three first records, I think TBDT is probably the most genuine. What I don't like (personally) is she going for bratty/fake edgy poprock songs to please GP, labels or fans. I didnt like it in GL, I didn't like it AL, and I am grateful that she at least tried to give some maturity for the only song like it in HAW. I am probably in the minority that actually love when she went away from the rock vibe to other styles in the past years. But that's just my personal opinion. I get the feeling this whole MFP punk thing is a little bit pushed, either by her personally or by what the management team thinks its the best. I will judge when it comes, but if going back to rock means loosing the musical and lyrical growth she has experienced, then I'll be personally dissapointed. Edit: and I'm just talking from what I am getting from the song titles, the small glimpses of the sessions they put on IG and partially from Flames. I don't hold the truth, probably I'll be pleasantly surprised by at least a few songs when the album drops.

Not to get too off topic here but “with” doesn’t need to be capitalized. It is grammatically correct to leave it as lowercase. Similar to “One of Those Girls” or “What the Hell” for example. Yes you’re right. I’ve never noticed before that it’s What the Hell. I always assumed song titles always had capitals at the beginning of the word. Shows how poor my grammar is...and yes I am English ha.
