]I can understand mayeb it's difficult for her to talk about it, it happens to me as well, but i also think it's easier to put those feelings in a song right? idk, i kinda wish she risked a little bit more about her personal life. being in bed for 2 years and losing friends and basically realizing you're not as strong as you thought are pretty cool topics to talk about. I'm not mad at HAW's content at all, except for 2-3 love songs, but i think it was a missed opportunity for her to talk about it. Have you seen the Honda Backstage-thing? There she says that people can see pass the bullshit and that it was time for her to open up with what she went through. And how she has to be vulnerable and honest, even when she has hard time doing so. So I really do think she believes the whole album was an honest presentation of how life was for her. And that she probably wouldn’t get what we are talking about here.

Yeah i've seen it, she spent the past 2 years talking about opening up and being honest but...u know... "i can't part the sea" it's not super personal to say the least 😂😂
it's still a stept forward, that's true. The lyrics this era were quite good considering GL or AL so i'm happy about that. Just wished she talked about it more in her songs not in intervies about how the album is "so personal" when in reality it isn't, or at least not about her battle with lyme.
Like...at this point not even Warrior is a lyme song anymore. now it's a covid song 🤦♂️

Well I can see how maybe she wanted to make the lyrics general enough that anyone can relate to them, regardless of the situation they’re in. And I think it’s cool that a song that was initially about her personal battle has now become an anthem for many others and can be about any kind of battle, not just Lyme disease.

Totally agree with that, i'm not against "general lyrics" so that people can relate to them, BUT i don't think this was the album to do that. Like, she has more "personal" songs in LG, my world, things i'll never say, too much to ask or tomorrow just to name a few. Even Souvenir seems more personal than warrior.
And sometimes, specific lyrics can relate to everyone as well. welcome to my life by simple plan is a perfect example that just came to my mind. sometimes her ambiguity ends up looking like laziness or uninspired idk...nobody's home it's a way better song lyrically and it's not even about her.
She can write about a girl in pain loosing her mind and being broken but when it comes to her we get water references. I like haw(song) lyrics a lot, but i also think she could've done it better.
I always tend to compare music with visual arts, so... when i watch a movie i want to connect with the main characters, i want to feel their story is real and experience it with them. When i listen to music...well if you're personal story is well written i will relate to it, you don't need to write abiguous lyrics, especially if makes the song being written about nothing in particular, just random lyrics.

And I think it’s cool that a song that was initially about her personal battle has now become an anthem for many others and can be about any kind of battle, not just Lyme disease. Considering I only became a fan over the last year or so I can confirm that strategy does seem to be somewhat successful for expanding your fanbase. I heard HAW a few times, liked it and could relate to it due to some heavier things I am dealing with in my own life. Decided to check out some of the rest of her music since I remembered some of it from my childhood, decided to get the albums and listen through them since I liked what I heard so far and boom. Now I'm here posting on her fan forum, one "livestream" later with (likely cancelled) concert tickets in my pocket still pretty into it all.
I think if the song had lyrics that were more specific it would have made sense and been nice for the fans but it wouldn't have attracted me or other newbies. So there is something to be said for keeping things generic to try and keep your fanbase from shrinking too much. Even if it does suck for your longtime fans who want things to be open and personal I feel in certain situations it's sadly the most valid tactic to keep things as broad as possible.
She can write about a girl in pain loosing her mind and being broken but when it comes to her we get water references. Lol, this is one of the funniest things I have read on here so far.

So Taylor Swift is going to release another album this year. Meanwhile still no info about AL7...
I like TS songs, i listen to all her songs. But i don't like TS, I don't hate her, it's just she's like every generic singers that's on my playlist. I think she's too ambitious, and i think she loves making drama and likes to play as a victim when she's not that innocent.
I listen to Avril since 2008/2009, and until now she's still my number 1 fav singer. Avril has less drama and that's what i like about Avril.

Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of Taylor's persona. I don't hate her but don't love her either. I do like her music (most of it) and some traits of her personality and she seems a genuinely nice person, but as you said, i don't think she's that innocent as she tries to look.
But I am amazed on how she was able to turn all her drama into profitable music. She managed to stay on the top for more than 10 years and no one saw that coming lol. I do respect her a lot as an artist and musician tho. And the fact she's so active and hardworking just makes every other artist look bad...

I feel like Avril could take some cues from Taylor about how to release music these days. 2 albums in one year, less than 6 months apart, is a bit much, but it shows you don’t have to sit on an album for a year before finally releasing it. And Taylor made a 2-part album, showing she had enough material for 2 albums and actually released them all. How many times has Avril said she had enough material for 2 records and then we ended up with 12 generic songs? I hope Avril will take some cues from other artists this year and just release the music when it’s ready.

He said the song is "coming out" so that means it's sooner than later. If it's Avril after all, i want a music video, that's not even negotuable.

The video for his song "bones" has yet to come out, the other day I was filming it. Maybe the collaboration will come out in January.

Why in the hell is she promoting tickets for some other artist’s show? Unless she’s making a surprise appearance, I don’t care. And then when it comes to her own music, silence. I can’t with her. 🤦♀️

Meanwhile, queen Taylor is releasing her SECOND album of the year, and HAW is an old ass two-year old album now and there’re no signs of music even 1000 miles away. Not even a single song.

I can’t with her. 🤦♀️ She's promoting it because "Goldfinger" is John Feldmann's band and he is the producer for MOD SUN's new album and the last few weeks all three of them worked together on a song which will be on that album (the feature MOD SUN was talking about) I guess she became friends with both of them very quickly and it's also a possibility that she'll work with Feldmann for her next album and so it makes sense that she promotes his show.
