AL7 Album Speculations Thread

I would really prefer she not release a bunch of singles leading up to the album release, as we'll have heard most of the album by the time the whole thing comes out. But maybe her label thinks that would be a good strategy since HAW really underperformed and had no hits. Avril might need to build herself back up to the general public again before dropping a whole album. If she wants to put out one-off singles before the album, that's cool, but I would hope they're songs that they like but didn't think should be on the album rather than releasing half the album as singles. I would like to have new stuff to listen to.

I think she'll do the ModSun collab in January and then we maybe won't hear the first single from her album until March or April with the album following a couple months later maybe. Then maybe a tour might be possible in the fall?

There is no clue on what the marketing of this era could be. Modsun so far has released a few singles, so maybe Avril is working with him on a similar fashion. They are producing songs to be singles here and there. What I dont know if is this means there would be a full album with the country rock songs she did, maybe she ignores them.

The earliest I predict full tours is aorund summer 2021 judging by the vaccination programmes at least in europe. Even if numbers go down from February onwards, goverments have been playing this very safe here so I guess fall/winter is the most accurate prediction if she wants to go on tour next year.

Well, she said in May she would release new music in 2021

It was in one the interviews where she said she’s working on multiple projects. Obviously it’s Avril so as we can be sure ModSun’s team will release the track in January, we cannot be sure Avril’s solo would some in 2021. I kinda have a deja vu because in like 2015? or so Avril also hinted new music around Christmas time

I think Avril has to have the right people around her and people like Modsun who release stuff frequently and do things differently to her are probably the right people. I don't think anyone encouraged her to do things that way before and she can't do everything herself. The Modsun collab is safe because it's for his album and he's already releasing a lot for that so the collab will be soon. I think she'll have something out before or around the Rock in Rio show in september too.
