I'm waiting for the Zach Sang/Modsun interview for all the bts details. I'm pretty sure they will have an interview at least by January. Zach Sang is always on top of these things and he gets the deets. Except from Avril lol
Another thing about Avril is delays. But it's possible that this song is out by Friday. There are artists who finish one week and it's out by the next. Modsun and Marshmellow seem like the type. And btw I like the Marshmellow MVs y'all have shared. I hope Avril does one too.

Yep saw she confirmed new music will be out next year with a "surprise" in January (but who knows if that means a single or it could be non-music related, knowing her, or maybe it's the collab with ModSun). She also confirmed it will be "rock and roll." I'm glad she has confirmed something, but to quote Taylor, "I think I've seen this film before and I didn't like the ending" lmao I'll believe we have new music when something more concrete is confirmed with an actual date and we have it in our hands. Until then, it's good to know she's at least aiming for top of the year to get it out and we hopefully don't have to wait too long. I just hope she doesn't say she wants to release next year and then it gets pushed back like we've been experiencing every album for the last decade.

It's great she's confirmed a relative timeframe of when she's releasing music, but for those of us who have been around for the last decade, we've had our hopes dashed many times before where she will say she's putting out music and then it gets delayed a thousand times. If you want to get your hopes up, that's cool, but I don't blame anyone who is going to keep their expectations low for now, knowing her history. I'm personally tired of getting excited over her stuff and then being let down constantly, if we get the new music when she says we will, then great! But I'm not going to get too excited until there's something more concrete with an actual date, a single title, and we have the music in our hands. |

When she talked about the fun surprise coming in January she used a green heart emoji and a safety pin emoji, which she's been using a lot for pics with Modsun. I'm very inclined to believe she's referring to their collab for his album.

About getting my hopes up, it's with Modsun and most possibly with Marshmellow so I def think we will hear something. Her own album though not so much. Unless she'll start doing singles like selena gomez and demi lovato do.

Up until now I thought that this was just one song she was doing with Modsun. Seems there’s more to it. This would explain small things like her tour being re-named and new official merch “coming soon”. Looks like Avril has been using this lockdown time constructively. Well done to her, 2021 can’t come soon enough!
