But where’s is Marshmello in all of this? Maybe the Avril x Marshmello is just a song from Avril upcoming album and MudSun is just a writer there. There should be many songs where ModSun is a writer. Also, according to her comments on IG the albums looks to be finished which I really doubt could be a remix. Or a song she had planned with marshmellow where mod sun was added. Edit: btw I imagine it's a single because that's what marshmellow does usually with collabs. These artists don't wait for an album they profit most from singles. According to giveuwhatulike she follows his manager shalizi. I noticed on the order of follows that she followed the manager before skrillex, Feldman, and long before marshmellow. Like there's khloe kardashian in the middle of all them lol Her album being almost done is harder to believe. She's done this hype before and I'm not falling for it for the third time. But I'll be happy to be wrong  And I could be wrong but i don't think modsun and marshmello follow each other. So the chances of the marshmello thing being for something AL7 related it's way higher than for this track with modsun. |

I don't get any indication from her that the album is done, just that she is excited for everyone to hear the new songs. I imagine she already has a bunch done though, considering she's been working in her home studio pretty much since the pandemic started and now in the studio for 2 weeks+ with ModSun and Feldman. She probably has at least half an album's worth of finished tracks done, if not more.

Marshmello usually comes when a song is finished, so I guess it has to be a good song but I doubt it’s a remix. Maybe they both shared the manager.
But the album really seems to be going into something very upbeat and more mainstream sounds along with some punk rock, Skrillex, Marshmello, Jvck Blvk.

It happens that when there’s more than one writer/composer, in the deal, they agree that after some time (a year or 5, 10, 15 years) the unreleased tracks should be put on the market for a potential sale so the writers can make a profit. The Producers like Max Martin, or Dr Luke in the past, have such catalogs as well but not widely available for people to see, only for a potentially interested musicians/labels/producers. It’s rather rare to register in an open source a track which is about to be released. As much as artists love playing with fans, teasing new material, dropping hints and wanting fans to create the buzz - this is one of the reasons why the collab with Mod Sun and today’s cover/title should be posted by fans on social media, I saw some people being like “I won’t post because it’s not official”, but well, it’s called promo unless you share files which can make profit like audio/video - they don’t want to put into any database details of the track. |

Are y'all seriously debating if that's a photoshopped photo? Its so obviously a merged photo. The lighting, pixels and colour contrast on Avril are vastly different to ModSun...

I'm not 100% sure about if it's legit or not so we need to wait to see if this is the real cover for mod's new single. I kinda like Avril here but Modsun looks awful in this one. If this is the same photographer who worked for MGK's album cover... something must have been wrong during the edit but well, we know they've never been that good wth avril's album covers since GL era. She was holding a dress in her AL6 album cover shoot and then we get avril naked behing a guitar hahaha xD
If there's a leak and someone to have some responsability here is modsun's team as the single is his not avril's.
Now I'm kinda curious about this new song that's been registered that belongs to the tripod from AL5. I'm curious bc their songs really were something and were the best IMO from AL5. Maybe the song will be released on AL7 or they will use the instrumental for a new one...

i don’t know anything about modsun and as far as I’m concerned a marshmallow is what i put on top of a hot chocolate but the cover is nice and she looks fab, so so far so good

I was having a look at the photographer's instagram and I found this photo with a similar background to the one in Avril and Modsun's collab. I wonder if there's any possibility of the cover on that Chinese site being provisory while they work on finishing it and making it more stylized like this one? Not an exact copy, of course, but perhaps some sort of design or effect to add a bit more character and more of a finished look? I don't mind what the cover looks like either way, just trying to keep the conversation rolling as we wait for the song to drop. All I really care about is that the song slaps. Gosh, I'm really craving a new fun and aggressive tune to kick the year off with high energy -- let 'Flames' be that song, please.  |
