She just posted more pics in the studio. God! It's literally 1 day before Xmas eve and she's killing it in the studio!! She usually takes December off, so this is definitely good! You can tell she's fucking excited about these songs and is working her butt off to release this new album asap. I wonder why she's still with Modsun...is John working on songs for each of them at the same time? I'm curious. On one pic he's in the recording booth, and next one, she's there. Everything looks so promising, especially the work ethics.  |

Maybe mod sun is helping her with writing. Or he's inside the box because he's going to record drum sounds. At this rate, we will have the album by spring (I hope). It had been a while since she looked so active as now! I'm so happy. |

I wondered that too but maybe he is recording background vocals on her tracks. It seems they were only doing 1 song together for his album and they likely finished that ages ago if the release is Jan 8th. I think he is helping her write songs for her album and likely doing background vocals. I was also surprised to see her still working just before Christmas, but maybe this is their last session for a little bit until after New Year's, or maybe she figured she would just work during Christmas since family gatherings can't really happen this year. There's a saying from where I come from, I don't known if it applies in English but it is about a person who wants to sit on two chairs and that is Avril. On one hand people claim that she's apparently over with being successful, how she doesn't want that anymore, how she's all about the music. But do you then release your single to radio, do you invest in promo slots, do you invest in playlisting for Spotify and Apple Music ? If you're over charting then why do you run to Nicki Minaj to do a last minute feature with her? If you're not about the success part of releasing music, why do you then collab with THE female rapper instead of choosing a more indie/independent one? Fiona Apple didn't send her songs from her latest album for adds on US radio, Fiona surely didn't invest in playlists for various streaming platforms. I get it if she's over all of that and just wants it to be solely about her music - but as of now, she didn't want that. What I posted before was just was just to highlight what could have been done better with the funds the they spent anyway for HAW's promotion. HAW (song) WOULD HAVE debuted inside the top 30 in the US with a Friday release and a simultaneous video release - that's a fact. Top 30 with a Christian Contemporary song is not a flop (or would have not been considered a flop to be precise). So again, if she's over with fame and success - fine but the actions of her and her team tell us otherwise. xx I kind of like to think it's her label who cares about the success more than Avril herself. I'm sure Avril wants to see her music do well since she works hard on it and every artist wants to see their music succeed and resonate with people, but as far as charts and awards and all that go, she probably doesn't prioritize that anymore since she's experienced that in the hey days of her career and after overcoming an illness, there's other things that are more important to her. But the label wants to make back their money they invested in her. |

Maybe Modsun is doing backing vocals maybe there's a colab collab on AL7 which I think it's quite possible as she tends to do that with people she clicks! aka Chad, Travis from we the kings. I looooove her hair in one of the stories from instagram... (yeah lately I've been having an issue with her hair, don't at me)
I also was thinking about what Tom mentiones above, she's really working her ass off in the studio. It could be bc she's really into it or just bc of the pandemic and she has nowhere else to go, so... I'm getting more and more excited every day! Can't wait for xmass or new year announcements, if there's one to make (?).

But I think she's also got other priorities in addition to having hit songs. People can want both success and have increasing personal values. I think she want's hits, but she's grown and they're not the only thing in her life that matters a lot now. But I agree, she does want her songs to do well. She's just balancing a lot because her life has changed after her struggles with Lyme's.  |

I'm kinda shocked at how much she's been working this past 3 or 4 weeks. An album late 2021 was my safe bet but now i guess it can really come faster. Just depends on what she's going to do once the sessions with feldmann and modsun are over

Mic pics today and skatng with Modsun and friends tommorow at her house plus cooking! Might just work around the holidays or it could be the last day before break. Unlike her and Modsun, Feldman and Travis Barker do have families of their own.

Got to be her album. Their single is coming out in 2 weeks so it should be all finished by now. They've been in the studio together for a month. I think it's a combination of him finishing up some last minute stuff on his album and her recording for hers but they may as well do it all at the same time since they're working together (and with Feldman too)

Yeah Avril looks really weird, she looks overly photoshopped or something. And the field of depth still looks totally off, there is no way they were both photographed at the same time. ModSun is practically in Avril with the way he's standing, like it is not physically possible.

I’m not sure if music sales are necessarily a good indicator of which places she should tour anyway. We saw how well she sold tickets in Europe, places she hasn’t been to in literally a decade. She has fans all over the world, it’s up to her team to research what areas would be best for her to tour. More music sales is always good, but I don’t know if that necessarily translates to ticket sales. It is a lot less of an investment to spend $10 on an album or stream it for free than spending $50-100 on a concert ticket. I'll buy her new album, stream the hell out of my Spotify but to spend $100 for her concert just to watch her singing same ol songs with a couple new songs, nope. Idk why she always sang old songs. Like she's promoting new album but 3/4 are old songs. |
