I think it's remarkable that the entire fandom (not only here, but all across social media) seems to be fully on board with this direction for Avril's music. I don't think I've seen her fandom this united and in agreement since... UMS? That alone holds a lot of power and should be quite expressive not only to Avril, but her label and her team in general.
Also, fun fact, in only about 3 hours her latest photo on instagram is already her second most commented photo ever, only behind the album cover of UMS that she posted for UMS's 15 year anniversary last year. Talk about improving engagement and creating hype. We fucking love to see it!

I hope she retains this enthusiasm even once the album drops and that she's still as passionate about the music as she seems to be now, also that she will actually talk in depth about it in interviews too. That's cool that ModSun is filming some stuff, I'd really love to see another "Making Of" documentary like we had in TBDT era. When you see what goes on behind the scenes and how the songs come about, it really just adds a whole new layer to how you listen to the music. I feel like the fun energy you see when she was working with Dr. Luke really came across in the songs. I kind of get that same vibe here, she's not only doing pop punk music again, but seems to be passionate about what she's doing and working very hard and quickly. That's why she HAS TO release the album quickly as fuck. She looks like she's into the songs now - she won't be excited at all if she (HAW) or the label (AL, GL) pushes the album back. I don't want another era with lack of energy performing HER OWN and NEW songs. Remember the first time she performed Dumb Blonde? Yeah, I remember too  |

I swear at first I thought the picture was from either 2004 or 2007. Gawd. That’s it, I’m boarding the clown wagon because I’m excited as fuck now. Pop-punk, MGK, Travis, John, Avril basically teasing the songs are almost ready, answering fans, like actually interacting with us. I can’t go back now lol. I’M HYPED. I love seeing you excited! And I really wish that she will release some music soon; teaser, lead single etc. |

I'm low key excited too. Mod is one of my favourite artists and I really love MGK too. Some time ago there was a rumour that Avril and MGK did something together, but there was nothing about it later. I hope this time it is legit and the songs Avril is making now will come to the daylight s--n, or I should rather say "in time".

I’m obviously excited for new music cos it’s Avril, but I really haven’t been listening to a lot of pop-punk recently, so I’m a bit like... i need to hear a bit before I’m too excited. But pop-punk was my first music love, and I do still love it, I just never go to listen to it anymore. If anyone’s gonna make me fall back in love with it it’ll be Avril I suppose, but I was buzzing for those country songs she mentioned! It is good to see how passionate she seems about it this time though. And the fan interaction. I feel like the lyme concert thing really brought the discontentment in the fanbase to a head and they seem to really be trying to fix it, which is great! Exactly my thoughts! |

My mum's reply was "well, that's kinda her thing"..... but it works sometimes, especially during Let Go era, but I just love Avril when she is upbeat and rocking out. |

When will "Flames" be announced? Maybe this Friday? I need to see officially the 8th comes out. And I hope they changed the leaked cover😳
Although it seems strange to me that the 8th is going to come out without any music video recorded. Shouldn't they record it already? Too many questions and too much hype, sorry!

I feel like they might announce it much closer to the release date. Or maybe on New Year’s. No one is willing to wait a whole week for a single anymore, it’s usually announced like the day before release so people remember to check it out while it’s fresh on their minds.
And I honestly think it’s possible a video may have already been shot. I can’t imagine she was just riding around on motorbikes for fun, I think it’s possible that was part of the video. And that company that sent her the bike is maybe the sponsor so they could do a higher budget video. That’s my theory anyway.
