Avril is the feature. Mod sun has said a few times he has one collab on his new album.

It literally says on the pre-save link that it's feat. Avril Lavigne. 
But that's not an indicator of how much she will (or not) sing on the song. Jessie's label wanted Ari and Nicki to be features only but she wanted them all to be lead because girl power and whatever. 
I think they agreed on this being feat. Avril so it's not considered her comeback single. 

I re-read this beautiful interview of Travis from We The Kings and yes I reminded myself he was the person who introduced Avril to Machine Gun Kelly many months ago.
Incredible, they have been writing for a long time and someway I had forgotten about it.



Also, his cover for “Tickets to my DownFall” reminds me a lot of TBDT Tour Aesthetic, but probably it’s just the pink guitar. Anyways they had already met months before he shot it and one month earlier I think, he had posted a video playing Sk8r Boi at the guitar so who knows they have been probably taking subtle inspirations one from the other since they met and it looks too cool to me.

The fact that the hair isn't photoshopped doesn't mean they were not. So i was looking closely and idk, i think they were indeed at the same time doing the pciture together. This doesn't seem photoshopped. You can see how her hair overlalps his shoulder and his chest. If you were to photoshop that you will need to select Avril's hair and well, it's not impossible to do it, but it's not easy either and it's pretty pointless in the first place especially when you can do the pciture together from the beginning. 

The light is still weird as hell. They probably had a lot flashes and that's why it looks so freaking weird.

And yet her spotify and her youtube icons remain the same. Hope she changes them soon. The new years Eve pics seem good enough.

I think what's so special and unique about this single is that it might be very telling of what's to come later this year with Avril's own music, and that's a big reason why the excitement is so real both for us fans and clearly for Avril as well. It's basically Avril getting her feet wet before her deep dive with her own album.
Not only will we get to hear Avril's voice in a heavier track again (and I think I can talk for everybody when I say we're all VERY curious to hear how her voice will suit a more aggressive/rockier tune after all these years), but we will also get a very first taste of the Avril x John Feldman combo, which might give us a real clue as to what the other songs they've been working on lately will end up sounding like as far as sound treatment and production go.

Reallyyy hoping it's a banger! Also really hoping we can all shower Avril with all of our excitement once the song drops so that it (hopefully) gives her fuel to remain active & motivated to release her own music asap. A Spring/Summer release would be pretty fucking amazing.
