He doesn't know shit
He stole bright from a fan who bought the song and posted on his twitter like it was his file. The owner of the original file exposed him on an now deactivated forum. He's a liar
Both of them were wrong to have something illegal but evan luke deceive that fan to send him the song. In return he was supposed to send him other track but he didn't have anything it was all a scam and then he posted that "burning" snippet

I agree that evan luke is a liar and total fraud. He has promoted so many things that turned out false ("It Was in Me" single and music video release, "Birdie" remix, "Won't Let You Go" release, the "Bright" situation giveuwhatulike explained, etc.), just to backtrack and be like "Oh, Avril's over the project so it won't happen" or he disappears completely. I'd honestly suggest we pay him and his lies no mind, as attention is all he craves.
As for the discussion of Avril possibly repurposing an old song, I wouldn't be opposed to that. "Don't Tell Me", "Everything Back but You", "Darlin'", and "Hello Heartache" are all examples of songs she either wrote years before their release or were intended for a different project. I don't believe any are the strongest track on their respective albums, although a repurposed song could make a nice album track or bonus track.

Good to hear that this evanluke person indeed seems to be a fraud. I would not want Avril to ever work with Dr. Luke again. He might be a great producer (or at least was for TBDT; I don't know if he managed to keep up with today's production techniques), but so many of his hits seemed to be plagiarized. I've seen/heard plenty of examples that you can't just explain away with "well, that chord progression is really popular, everyone uses it". And then, of course, the whole thing with Kesha. That guy is just... ugh. No thanks.
As for Marshmello, he could just have helped Avril with some songwriting. I know he's mostly known for collaborations (as in "feat.") and remixes, but he did co-write one of PVRIS's songs off their latest record, and that's all he did. Just co-write that one song. Maybe he did the same for Avril. But that's all just wild speculation, of course. We might as well never find out what they worked on together, if they end up not releasing any of that stuff.

But the release won't necessarily be on a friday, because the MV for "Karma" was released on a wednesday and the MV for "Bones" was released on a thursday, so my guess is we'll get it the beginning of next week 🤞 |

Dr Luke is probably working under a pseudonym at this point, so even if she worked with him, we’d never know.

Dr Luke is probably working under a pseudonym at this point, so even if she worked with him, we’d never know. Dr. Luke has used a couple pseudonym's so far. Made in China was one and he is credited as Tyson Trax on Doja Cat's "Say So". I wouldn't be surprised if he does go back to Dr. Luke though, since he's starting to experience a lot of success again, such as with the aforementioned #1, and everyone already knows that it's him producing the song. |

But I don't see it happening. Seems a bit too close to Mod Sun's big movie thing. I would imagine he gives every release about a week to breathe before he puts out new material. Otherwise he risks cannibalizing his own hype.
Also could someone give a brief overview to a newbie of who this Evan Luke person is and the things they did? Sounds like some interesting lore/drama/gossip and I live for that stuff.

HeiBai Evan Luke was an account that began on bandaids, claiming that they had insider information in specific to Avril. This was at the start of HAW when she was basically a fucking mute. No way near as interactive as now. So a lot of fans bought into it though most with a grain of salt. So Evan Luke left Bandaids and began posting on Twitter. What they said was stuff that seemed true but had no basis of reality to it since it was mostly already speculation coming from fans. Nothing really concrete came from this person.

Just noticed that Dr Luke starting following Avril, Shalizi, MGK and some people of the Shalizi Group. And most of them are following back. So I guess it could be true but it will be safe for Avril to get a fake name for his credits if they really are working together
