I'm glad he pushed her to sing high LOL I hope this experience is enough for her to keep trying to break her boundaries and try new stuff. She indeed hit her highest suppoerted chest-mixed note. I think it's an F5 but i don't have pitch perfect so i could be wrong. This should be a lesson to her that she can do more with her voice than she thinks. Pop-rock is a safe place vocally for a female, but she also loves to sing ballads and she is pretty good at it. But i think with a good climax filled with epic instrumentals, choir and high notes will imporve her ballads a lot. KHO, WYG, or IMWY, they do have "high" notes but it's nothing out of her comfort zone. It's not "mariah" or "whitney" high u know xD
I also hope that they will work together again, he definitely made her shine even more.

I was listening to a podcast that Rolling Stone did for their top 500 albums of all time and Taylor's Red album was included, so they did a brief interview about it. Taylor mentioned that when she was working with Max Martin and Shellback that they really challenged her with the songwriting and made her think of songwriting in ways she never had before. And as a result, an already very talented writer really stretched her boundaries and grew even more as a writer. I feel like that is what Avril needs to do going forward is to work with people who will push her, like Tommee did with the vocals. I fear for the last few albums she's had too many "yes men" around her who just said everything she did was great but never pushed her and a result we got a lot of mediocre stuff.

I just feel she's in that direction now but let's hope she keeps on pushing herself. The more she evolves, the better for her career.

The songs they did with Avril don’t sound challenging at all... 😢

Just when I stop following him he puts up something Avril related.
I'm glad he pushed her and that he got her to talk about it. I think she has one of the best voices in Hollywood. It's not Ariana levels but she has pipes! I don't think people give her enough credit for that. But it's not her "image" so I understand why people are unfamiliar with her talent.

This just proves how the tinniest bit of airplay helps. Avril's song was the one album track that had the most streams for a while but then O Holy Night and Hark were sent for airplay on Christian radio and overtook it.

Tommee said in his last post of that Christmas album on Instagram "WE'LL SEE YOU NEXT YEAR" so maybe he want continue with music videos and maybe this year he will do What Child Is This? so and if Avril will release her music, will be on eyes again so they can do better promo for that song

Probably he will make another christmas album and that's all. And even tho I would love for both of them to collaborate again I don't think it will happen... I mean, she loves christmas and christmas songs SO maybe if he wants her back and he dares to ask her again and if she's in the mood MAYBE...
