This cover art is so weird, lol. Modsun's there like "super cool, yo" and Avril's staring into the camera like 
In all seriousness, though, I'm quite excited for this song, but also a little bit apprehensive. I feel like this song could either be fire (pun intended, lol) or just another generic pop-punk song. I also really hope Avril's vocal performance will be fitting. From what Modsun has said about "Flames", it's supposed to be quite "rock". But I feel like Avril's vocal performances during the past few years haven't been intense enough to fit that kind of style. But well, we'll see... Just one more week!  |

This Mod Sun guy is really not my cup of tea. His image anyway. I did quite like the one song I have heard from him. He has potential. Avril looks great in this photo.

I'm really excited about this feature like i've never been for the others. I guess her going back to "her sound" and the fact that is the same people that are working on the album make this feels like a taste for whats go come on AL7, like sort of a buzz single

Can you even flop nowadays? It's not like she's Taylor or Ariana or even Gaga levels of return fame. She's an unknown in the US at least. Mod sun is even more of a no body. This is a single for fans to listen to and for people to find on their own through streaming or youtube music videos. All they need to do is get on playlists. It looks like she's friendly with Alison Hagendorf (head of spotify rock) so that's done. Now the song just needs to sound like a bop.
Edit: wait you can flop. Katy Perry with Smile. Forgot about that. But regardless how is she gonna flop if no one knows she's around but her fans.

He's released clothes for his songs "Karma" and "Bones", so I think there'll be something for "Flames" too, which I'm really excited for, because his merch looks great and has a great quality. I already own the "Karma" hoodie and love it. We'll see what they have in mind with "Flames", it will most certainly depend on how well the song will do. |

I’m still a bit surprised there is actually promo for this single! I’ve seen plenty of articles wich are talking about this collab.

We all know Avril's vocals are amazing, but after HAW tour I realized her best vocals (It Was in Me Bridge or I fell in Love with the Devil) were not so good live, I don't know if it was done to protect her vocal chords or if she actually can't do it live.. So I don't know, I don't want a fake thing from studio..
