Just listened to it. I'll never do that again. My taste in music developed back in ancient times, when singers actually sang. The electronic processing done to Avril's voice is unforgiveable. This is so lame. I take back everything I said about 'Flames'. Somehow, I listened to something completely different, thinking it was 'Flames'. It wasn't even close. Don't ask me how I managed to do that. I don't know. There was a male and female voice. I had never heard anything by Mod Sun. The male did not sing at all. Just, spoken word/rap. The female voice was so over processed, it literally could have been anyone. It sounded like they ran the vocals through a phase shifter, used by some guitar players. I didn't realize my mistake, until the video came out. I'm glad I didn't have much to say. Fewer words to eat. So, now that I have actually heard the song, and watched the video a dozen times, I like it a lot. I'll sign up for more of that. I'm not going to get my hopes too high. I'd say there is plenty of reason to be optimistic. You must now post what it is you heard lol Did you not notice that the woman singing sounded nothing like Avril, or you just chalked it up to the amount of processing they did to “her” voice? |

I thik I heard that song too, it was a video on youtbe that claimed to be Flames, but well, that was hours before the song release so i knew it was fake, but yeah, the singer kinda sounded similar to Avril LOL

Please no with anything related to MFP or rock and roll. It’s cringe. I’d rather she name it after one of the tracks, or maybe something that captures the fun spirit of the album the way TBDT did. This so much. I feel maybe we should stop mentioning it could be called those things in fear of the theory that some of Avril's team might occasionally take ideas from here, tells her about it and she misguidedly begins loving it. 
As for possible album titles: -The Bestest Damn Thing -Avril Lavigne (4Real this time) -Goodbye Kitty -Mod Sun feat. Avril Lavigne -Fight Lyme with Avril ~Deluxe edition
I would unironically prefer these over MFP. Sorry not sorry.

So the song just surpassed karma on spotify and it is now the biggest song of his new album there. In just 18 days amassed more than karma did in almost 3 months. More than 4M streams total

I guarantee there was nothing slow about how quickly I realized I was hearing this, for the first time. I would say about three seconds into Avril's intro. And, about three seconds into Mod Sun's part, I knew I was going to like it. I'm happy to be on the same page as the rest of you. I'll try to keep up. If I ever stumble on it again, I'll share the pos I listened to. I've already wasted too much time trying to find it. It's not worth it. But, if you ever heard it, you would understand my initial reaction. |
