This video made me cringe, but not because of it being awkward or embarrassing but rather it’s just really gross!

I want to know how she even thought “if I put this fucking cockroach on my tongue will you give me $100?” Lol like it’d be one thing if she was dared to touch it or something, but putting it on your tongue? Who thinks of that? Haha

Am I the only person who likes I Don't Have To Try? It's not a top favorite song of mine, but I think it has great energy and does its job well. I get why people would find it obnoxious, but I see it being singled out a lot by fans here and in my head it's on the same level of brattiness and in your face delivery as I Can Do Better and multiple other songs on that album.
I've come to appreciate the Peaches tribute in the intro of the song and also the fact that it was Avril's first time taking chances with a bit of screamo in her music -- I thought she did a rather nice job. It's a song I have to be in a more specific mood to want to listen to, but I never found it to be an embarrassing moment in her repertoire, personally.

Everyone’s always talking about how they love fast, aggressive, heavy music from her and it’s one of her heaviest, most aggressive songs to date. It’s the bratty lyrics I think that turn people off I guess. I will always hate the intro though lol “I’m the one who’s got the prance”? Lol wth does that even mean? The blend of hip hop with punk pop is genius though.

I love IDHTT since I have first heard it. It's a great song: great energy, powerful instrumental, unusual intro, bratty lyrics and her screaming is the cherry on top! I feel like most of Avrils most cringy moments happened during interviews. She is just so awkward when she doesnt feel comfortable. But I doubt she will ever top the Hello Kitty Video. It is truely embarrassing...

I love the instrumental for IDHTT and that she screams. The live version in Paris oh my God. But the lyrics ugh. My favorite is ICDB though. It's just why does she have to make such cringey bratty childish lyrics 😭

I think many hate the song because they relate it to the obnoxious choreography with those dancers. The song by itself is awesome, and it’s super fast and aggressive, and I love the bridge, it makes me want to break something lol.
Now that I’ve introduced it, here’s another cringeworthy performance of Losing Grip with the dancers doing basically, well...that.

Yeah dancing for Losing Grip didn’t really work lol
Edit: Oh my this is different than what I remembered, I thought the dancers did a full on routine for this but it’s just that one female dancer who appears randomly to have this hot lesbian moment with Avril and then disappears? Lol so random!

Oh god there’s dancers for it too? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a live performance of it, likely actively avoided them.
Avrils bratty songs aren’t really for me. ICDB is an improvement, the lyrics are less obnoxious, but the bridge makes me cringe. IDHTT is just too much. I think other than Black Star, it’s her only album track I don’t have on Apple Music.
Edit LOL just seen the LG dance...thing...what on Earth?!

It's one of my all-time favourite songs, actually! Even the rap-ish intro and the lyrics are kinda fun. And, like you said, it has great energy, which is the main reason why I love it. Avril's vocals, the instrumentation, especially the percussion - ugh! It's so good!

Or wannabe rockstar performance Oh jeez... I remember watching this and being super excited and considering it one of her best performances ever. (In my defense, I was 16, in kind of a fangirl-phase, and this was before I got into "real" rock music). Now, I watch it and I just want it to end. Looks like a bunch of kids jumping around on stage, and I've never seen headbanging look so ridiculous tbh. Major cringe.

I can't really point on an exact interview/moment but the whole "I'm a rock chick, not a pop chick. I'm not like the other girls, I'm different. I like to be one of the guys because there's no drama between guys" thing she did in early of her career was cringey as hell. But thank god she did that when she was younger so we can tolerate that. Also, it was in the early 2000s so it was the "cool thing" I guess.
