Cringey Avril Moments

LMFAO Honest to god there are too many cringe moments or lyrics for me to even name, I'd be here all night lol

One of the ones that comes to mind for me though is the Hello Kitty video. I mean I like it for what it is, it's fun and colorful, but like... the lip synch is hilariously off when she says "someone chuck a cupcake at me" and the random waving down the street makes no sense at all lol 

LG era Avril was definitely cringe at times but we can chalk it up to her being young haha One of her weirdest moments is that Weird Al interview though and I don't even mean his parts, but whatever real interview he grabbed her soundbites from like... what the hell was she high or something? Haha

I forgot how absolutely cringey this interview was.   Once the interviewer noticed that Avril wasn't responding to the silly questions about eggs and such, he should've improvised some questions about her album or touring. Instead he doubled down and asked if she could cry tears of milk? 

Edit: After looking up the interviewer, Alex Zane, I've found out that he is apparently known for his cringe comedy type of humor. Avril probably didn't get it, which resulted in this super cringey interview. Regardless, those were still some very odd questions so I don't blame her for being distant when she was there to promote her new music.

^ Haha I kind of can't blame her for this one though considering she was married to Chad, or I think they were divorced by this time, but obviously she had been married to him before so it is natural to get defensive.

This one me deserves a mention too. The interview is pretty awkward in general, but at 6:20 she’s just had enough of those hosts and can’t help but put a completely sincere bitch face because they won’t let her talk. I don’t know what’s with her in the TBDT era that I think has her most cringe interviews. I guess she just hated being asked about her marriage or anything personal other than strictly music. 

The main issue with the Popworld interview is thats how every interview on that show was and everyone else just played along with it. She didn’t and it made her look awful.

Anyway here’s my biggest cringe moment of her career:

I’ve only seen this interview once and it was a really long time ago yet I remember it exactly for that reason, that they basically kept talking over her.

I don’t think she had too many cringe interviews in TBDT era, I mean probably not any more than in any other era, I also don’t think she hated being asked about being married. I think if anything her interview skills improved a bit more by then and she made an attempt to be more personable and talkative. I think if anything she sometimes came off bratty or overconfident in some interviews given the brattiness of the album and her still being pretty young but probably also feeling like because she was on her third album already that she was the shit.
