Aly and Aj have released what can only be described as the Album of 2021! They have completely shed their Disney roots and made an amazingly mature record with some great bops. It’s the stuff I could only dream Avril would make!! It’s a great mix of sun drenched Californian rock, organic percussion and some synths too. GO CHECK IT OUT!

This album is so good. I've had Pretty Places on a playlist but never really played it. Until the other day it really hit me and I played the whole album. I love the Vibe this album gives. This kind of music is really nice. I also really like Kacey Musgraves Star Crossed. I put both albums in one playlist to chill and vibe with. I wish Avril would explore this type of sound but this isn't her style so I doubt she'd ever bother.

I will definitely check out Kacey Musgraves biggerwow ! If you like that album too and Aly&AJ I'm curious! I haven't listened to Kacey before. I really like those last 2 Aly&AJ albums, like you said they give you a certain vibe I really love these days! so lrb22 thanks for mentioning them!!! |

Aww happy to hear you listened to my recommendation! Their more synthy EPs they released prior to this album are also very good. It's funny, I came into this year thinking AL7 would be most played album of the year... even if it is released before the year is up, it will have a tough time competing for the amount I played 'A Touch of The Beat' over the summer hehehe

I thought so too! I thought I would have the most plays ever on my Spotify but I also think it depends on IF she's gonna release!
Now it looks like I'm not such a hardcore Avril fan on Spotify hahaha
