Emily in Paris (Netflix Series)

I agree. It was an ok series and I’m invested enough to see the next season but IMHO if the show didn’t have beautiful backdrops of Paris in it, no one would watch this show. The plot is nothing special and is very similar to a lot of other shows aimed at millennial white women. I didn’t really find the character of Emily particularly likable or relatable either.

Her outfits for the most part were nice but it wasn’t relatable. Who actually has clothes like that, or looks that impeccably dressed every day? It was too “perfect.”

Yesterday it was announced the show has been renewed for seasons 3 and 4!

Yes my fiancé is a big SNL and football fan and he showed this sketch to me and I thought it was hilarious 😂 So on point! When he was explaining how Emily is trying to make a pass for Gabriel but Camille is blocking her, I told my fiancé that was the first time in my life I understood football lol

I saw that series ! and I've been to Paris twice, so many things you see are real (people sitting at the cafe, smoking and talking for hours), the apartments with no elevators, French people being a bit rude (yes they are) , that is all true. Of course then they maximize these stereotypes.

Anyone here watch season 3? What did you think?

Overall I liked the development in the plot I guess, but I think it is my least favorite season. The storylines jumped around so much from episode to episode and it felt very chaotic. They have also been toying with this "will they, won't they" thing with Emily and Gabriel for 3 seasons now, just make them get together already. Also, way to destroy Camille's character this season. I liked her in the first 2 seasons but they destroyed everything likable about her in one season. And Emily is as annoying and unbearable as ever, to the point even the other characters comment on it.

What I did like - well, I like that they decided to give Gabriel a purpose and a goal, but I don't know how it's going to mesh with Emily since she has never expressed interest in wanting a family and is very career driven. I also like that Sylvie quit her affair nonsense and fell back in love with her husband.
