Avril Lavigne looked ecstatic as she went on a motorcycle ride with a female friend wearing a low-cut t-shirt and distressed black jeans in Malibu on Sunday afternoon.
The Complicated singer, 36, was seen cruising down the legendary Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) on her hot pink electric motorbike as she grinned from ear to ear.
While enjoying the long weekend, she sported an oversized pair of black sunglasses, her signature Converse sneakers and blonde hair cascading past her shoulders.
For the outing, Lavigne went braless and flashed a number of her tattoos, including the rose tattoo on the outside of her left forearm.
Among her known 24 tattoos, she also displayed the black star and 'XXV' inked on the inside of her right elbow.
The Canadian singer-songwriter's friend, who held onto her waist, rocked a red jumpsuit and similar shades to Lavigne.
Lavigne was not joined by her new boyfriend, singer Mod Sun, whom previously romanced Bella Thorne.
The performer confirmed her relationship with Mod Sun on Valentine's Day.
They fell for each other after working on his song Flames, which was released in January and is featured on his album Internet Killed the Rockstar.
In late April, the pair released a stripped down visual for the acoustic version of the emotional ballad.
Speaking to People, Lavigne gushed about the song and her partner in the recording studio.
'He's an incredible artist and producer,' she said of Mod Sun. 'This is the first of many. Proud of what we made with Flames.'

She went on: 'Flames is a very special song, I love how the acoustic version turned out. It really brings another layer of emotion to the song.'
The acoustic visual shows the pair singing with backup singers positioned behind them.
Meanwhile, there's no release date yet for Lavigne's new album although it's expected to drop sometime this summer.
