Scream (2022)

I was wondering if any of you guys were Scream fans like me? I am a die hard Scream fan since I was very young. I'm definitely a Screamer! <3 I'm so excited for the new Scream. It comes out January 14th 2022 and despite not having a number in the title it is the 5th scream. Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, and Marley Shelton all return to reprise their roles. Even the iconic voice of Ghostface Roger L. Jackson is returning as the menacing voice on the phone. Some of the new cast includes Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Dylan Minnette (My fav!), and Kyle Gallner to name a few. I cannot express to you all how excited I am for this movie. The Scream movies hold a special place in my heart because it is the only horror franchise that in every single sequel all of the main cast has starred in each one. the Scream movies have heart, it's more about the survivors than that killer since the killers are different people in each movie! I saw Scream 4 several times in theaters ten years ago when I was in high school. It was the first Scream I got to see in theaters since the first three all came out before I was 5, lol. If anyone else loves these movies let's talk about it! I'm so curious to see where Sidney, Gale, Dewey and Judy are at in their lives. This is also the first Scream to not be directed by the iconic Wes Craven as he passed away in 2015. (Rest in peace) I know he would be proud and rooting everyone on. The original writer and creator Kevil Williamson who also wrote The Vampire Diaries is the executive producer. So It's all still in the family. This new Scream is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. I've seen the directors previous horror movie Ready Or Not and it was so original and unique! I have no doubt they will bring something special to this franchise. They wrote all the actors including Neve Campbell a heartfelt letter about how much Wes Craven and the movie had an impact on their lives before asking them all to return. This movie seems like it has all the ingredients to be an amazing return to an iconic franchise!
