Oh the simple plan shows were the best. I definitely watched them and jonas brothers (jonas brothers mainly because I was too young to do anything else or interest to pass the time lol). I think i skipped most of Lawson but saw their last song (which I actually still listen to now!). I’ll skip these guys though. Avril was my first ever concert so simple plan are actually the first act I ever saw live. I like them but tbh I wasn’t paying much attention as I was kind of in dreamland thinking I was going to actually see Avril in person. It looks like for the UK shows it will only be Phem as support. Mine too! I remember being disappointed at the time because I think the rest of Europe had Bowling for Soup (who are still one of my favourite bands) and I really wanted them instead. But I ended up really liking Simple Plan and I’ve seen BFS 600000 times since so 12 year old me would be happy

Bowling for soup supported Avril for the 2005 Bonez tour which I missed.

I would rather simple plan too than bowling for soup. I remember them on stage before Avril and they were poking fun at her 😂 I think it was along the lines of them shouting 'hurry up Avril and play your show, she's probably still in the dressing room doing her hair' 🤣

Bowling for soup supported Avril for the 2005 Bonez tour which I missed. I saw Avril in Munich in 2004 (Bonez Tour 2004 Eyes) and the opener was Bowling For Soup. I loved them and bought the CD after the concert (and I still have it). Simple Plan joined for the UK shows according to wikipedia. The opener for Avril in 2005 in Frankfurt (I was there too) was Madsen, a german band. I also noticed that wikipedia lists two opener for some shows in the UK in 2005 (Gavin DeGraw and Butch Walker), I didn't know she ever did that. So if she did that before and didn't change the setlist, I don't think its a clue for it this time. Im just saying because I saw a comment somewhere where someone wondered if she prepared us for a longer setlist by having two opening acts.

The Paris show will last from 7.30 PM - 11 PM which is 3.5 hours. I guess opening acts will take at least 1.5hs so we actually might get a longer setlist.

Are we sure 11pm isn’t just the curfew? She barely plays an hour. I’d guess 30-45 mins for each of the support plus all the faffing around in between acts and Avril doing her usual set

This is the first time I'm hearing of a venue change for the show in Berlin, got no mail whatsoever, not cool. Luckily I check this forum from time to time, not sure when or if I would've found out about it otherwise. But anyway, I've become more and more excited about the concert, after all those delays I can't believe it's actually happening?! I'm still not sure how early to arrive to be quite close to the stage?! I remember back in 2005, in her prime, I waited in line for hours and hours just to be as close as possible, but I don't think i will have to do this anymore, at least I hope so. I initially had vip tickets, but we all know what became of that I guess I'll see how it'll be for people who go to the Paris and Amsterdam show and then decide how early to arrive. To everyone who will see her live: I hope you'll have a blast

I’ve never had pit tickets for a show but I’d guess you’d have to arrive as soon as doors open in order to try to get as close as possible. Because loads of other fans are going to try to do the same thing lol

Avril posted on Instagram: "Working in my setlist. Tell me which songs u wanna hear live in Europe".
Her tour starts in 2 weeks... we know damn well she will do the same setlist as usual. My bet is that she will add IAM, so she can feel like she played new songs and it's basically just a half song (=half of the work) if she uses playback for Yungblud's part.
I dont trust her on these setlist polls at all!
