It's unlikely that most here have heard of Melissa Lefton as she never actually released a single or album. Prior to working with Avril Lavigne, Lefton's scrapped debut album, Melicious, was the first major project that the Matrix took on. They wrote and produced almost the entirety of the album in collaboration with Lefton. Despite the album's scrapping, Lefton's had three songs commercially released on soundtracks: "My Hit Song", "I Love Life", and "He Blinded Me with Science" (Two of which are linked below).
It's really interesting to hear these songs, as this project was the final one taken on by the Matrix prior to their work with Avril on Let Go and their own subsequent breakthrough as a production team.
