We often talk about what our favorite Avril album is, but of the seven, which is your least favorite? Mine is definitely Head Above Water. I like the album and it has some great songs, but it's the one I revisit the least and it never clicked with me the way her other albums have. It's true that nostalgia is attached to her older albums, but I've had Love Sux on repeat since release which I can't say happened with Head Above Water back in 2019.

Easily GL. It’s just boring. I like that she tried writing more songs on her own and it certainly has its highlights like any of her other albums, but midway through it starts to drag and the second half of the songs start to blend together. I feel like you have to be in the right mood for this album. I will say vocally it’s one of her best though.

For me it's her self-titled while half the record is very good I think the after GYWYL it's starts being meh for me (except Hush Hush, Falling Fast, and Bad Girl). I think every song is good however Hello Kitty, Sippin' on Sunshine, You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet, and Bitchin' Summer are very meh to me which is more than on HAW or GL.

Goodbye Lullaby by a long shot for me. I can’t listen to any of the songs except the singles and maybe Push. It sends me to sleep and I don’t think the songwriting is anything extraordinary, even though I appreciate that Avril wrote most of them basically alone compared to her other albums which have other writers.
Most people would vote for Avril Lavigne as their least favourite album but honestly, it’s probably ranked higher for me then Goodbye Lullaby, Head Above Water, and Under My Skin. I love Rock N Roll, HTNGU, Hush Hush, Falling Fast, GYWYL, 17 and even YASNY and Bitchin’ Summer are fun to listen to. I think the album just should’ve focused on being a pop rock album, a pop album, or a power ballad album. It did all three and got kinda lost that way.

Yeah I used to think AL was my least favorite but I had listened to all her albums again before LS came out and I was surprised at how much I liked it. Sure it’s a bit of a mess but at least it’s not boring. It is definitely a good/fun album if you enjoy variety. Even the generic pop songs are fun to listen to, even if the production isn’t the best. I loved that it kind of jumped around between all different kinds of songs and it felt like more of a musical journey by the end. Its main issue is it’s not cohesive in any way and lacks direction, whereas all her other albums are very clear about what the main theme is.

I voted for AL... though it's actually a tie between GL (I agree with BogoGog24 that it's a boring album). And actually I still like some songs on AL. But AL is the only album where I don't really like the singles (or the "hits) she put out. This is a hard one. |

TBDT, I grew tired of it. But I do enjoy some songs during the summer such as Girlfriend, Runaway, Alone and Contagious.

Head Above Water. It's the only album where none of the songs are something I'd repeatedly listen to. They're not inherently bad, they're just not my cup of tea

I can see it not being someone's favourite, especially if they got into Avril later and it doesn't hold that nostalgic factor, but I've never heard someone call it their least favourite. What is you don't like about it? |

Well i just think it's not "rock" enough for my taste kind of. My favorite Avril album are the ones with heavy drums, heavy guitars.. However, Losing Grip, Anything But Ordinary, Mobile are masterpiece. It's just not an album i listen to very often i guess!

I voted for AL. I really love some individual songs, but the tracklist is so all over the place that it’s kind of jarring to listen to it all at once. I also never really got into GL. As a few other people have already said, it drags too much in the middle.

mine is Let Go. I know, I know, It's a classic but it's the album I listen to the least. other than I'm With You, I don't revisit these songs very much. I think it's because back in the day and over time I have listened to this album thousands and thousands of times.

I'd say it's almost a tie between AL and HAW. Both albums are quite forgettable for me, but both have a few strong songs on it.
However, the production on AL is so bad I cannot believe whoever mastered the album let it go out to the market with such horrible glitches, unnecessary electronic sound effects and robotic autotune. It's her worst-produced album by a mile, I don't think anyone can argue otherwise. Plus, the album is a mess of different sounds that do not denote any sort of consistency, neither in genre nor in themes. it literally sounds like a Greatest Hits album. The only thing that's better in AL than in HAW is the album booklet lol, and it did give us Hello Heartache and Hush Hush.
I would even say I have more fun listening to this than HAW, but the lousy production kills it for me.
