I wonder if this is a song that was scrapped from the Good Mourning movie, I wonder if maybe initially she had a larger part and maybe even a performance scene lol. The lyrics of this song make me think it was originally intended for that movie

Can somebody crunch the data and see if the leaks line up with dates when Avril is on tour? She’s heading to Peru now and just like that another song leaks? Is that a pattern? If it is it suggests to me that it’s someone around her production team waiting until she’s away from home? Just an idea.

Pretty sure they were all part of that initial group of leaks that included joker and eternally. Idk. A lot of the time labels/producers leak things themselves to devalue them so that artists don’t bring the songs to other labels if they decide to leave, but I don’t believe that’s what’s happening here. I doubt Feldman would do that to her. |

Meh it’s not that impressive. The verses are good but the chorus is very weak. Not surprising it got cut and I don’t think it’ll be on the deluxe either.

Shut Up was so much better than the snippet made it out to be in my opinion. The opening and verses are really nice and the chorus has got a good oomf to it. I hope it’s on the deluxe because I’d love to hear it in fully produced. Although I feel like it could use an extra verse.
