Avril’s already doing a residency set list, this way people can travel to come see her instead of the other way around.

No. I just don’t think she’s that type of performer and her shows aren’t interesting enough visually. She’d have to add in more production elements, maybe similar to TBDTour. More lighting, better staging, costumes, fireworks, pyro - people want to see a show, not just a concert.
The other reason I’d say no is because she has lots of international fans that most likely wouldn’t be able to or want to travel that far to see her. It would severely limit how many people could see her. I live on the other side of the country and frankly I wouldn’t take a 6-7 hour plane ride, book hotel, etc. just to go see her perform the same songs I’ve already seen before.

I don’t think so personally. She’s doesn’t put on enough of a show to draw people in. There’s some artists I know I could go and see and only know a couple of their songs and still have a great time, Avril isn’t one of them but that’s exactly what you need to be for something like that, to draw in both people who are willing to travel AND people in Vegas on holiday or whatever. And she’s not a good enough vocalist to draw people in just for her voice either - obviously she’s a very good singer but she’s not someone who can just stand and sing and people be mesmerised by her voice, like Adele for example.
Avrils shows just don’t fit in with a residency imo, she’s not that kind of artist.

In a perfect world? Hell yeah get that money bitch. Check my dream set in the Avril project thread.
In reality? Ehhhh. What Bo said...mostly because I do think there would be people interested in an Avril Lavigne residency show. Will there be rave reviews and a good money bag after? I don't think so. Personally, I thought my ride to the valley to see her was enough of a trip 😅 not so sure about going to the desert to see one of her shows.

I disagree.I do believe she has the voice as well as the hits to draw people in.If she can go back or at least try to perform like she did for the Blackstar Tour(which is unlikely considering health issues),she can definitely get in the crowd. Her hits are enough. If she can play songs that she's hasn't played in a long time like Tomorrow,Nobody's Home,Hot,Wish You Were here,it can get even more exciting. She has A LOT of good/underrated songs and her voice is beautiful too.She can play Forgotten or Contagious, maybe perform Alice,or Everybody Hurts or play 17 or Hush Hush live again. Her first three albums alone have ac ton of songs to draw in a crowd.Imagine Innocence and Slipped Away or I Always Get What I Want,Mobile and Things I'll Never Say,My World, etc.

I think they mean Avril isn’t known for having a spectacular voice, like for example Adele, Celine Dion, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, etc. Those artists are synonymous with amazing voices and it’s the main reason people go to see them. I don’t think most people go see Avril for her voice, but rather because she puts on a fun, rock n roll type show.

I agree and she only recently got credit for her vocals too. She's still a great singer regardless.I think people go to see her show mainly for the hits.I know that is true for all artists but her hits have stood the test of time and they are not just hits, they are classics now.She has a strong discography.
