Do we think she’ll be able to write another classic like “Let Go” “UMS” and “TBDT”? Or has she already done that in your opinion with one of her other 4 albums?

Yes, if Avril grows up i.e. acts her age i.e. allows herself to mature and at the same time be as open and raw as she was on LG, UMS, and TBDT I think she is quite capable of putting an album together that is a good as those first three. You can see flashes of it here and there throughout her career but she's never been able to pull it all together again like on her first records. LS is a very good step in that direction because it is so consistent from start to finish. Avril needs to up her storytelling though. Some big 'if's' there but, yeah, I think she can still pull it off. She's CAPABLE of doing it.

And I think there is a uniqueness in being young, carefree, naive and as inexperienced as she was that cannot be achieved anymore. She is in this distant professional mindset where she protects her feelings no matter what. I dont see her changing that, except if there might be another huge change in her life. But tbh 2 divorced and a chronic life-threatening disease - and still she comes back as this teenage-boy-bashing-chick*, so... Nah. We are lucky if we get a different kind of masterpiece but it wont be the same as LG (or UMS, or even TBDT which I dont even like that much). *not bashing Avril. I love (!) Love Sux and the whole era! |

Love Sux and the whole era! Her attitude completely changes when being in the studio in refer to the latest video. I doubt there's a distance to professional mindset if we have 'Avalanche'. I think this era just sort of assists deluding the painful event in the past years. Her current behavior doesn't represents the reality imo. |

Yes, but only if she surrounds herself with people who have that strong vision in mind, who are able to tell her when something is immature or just bad and who are willing to step in if she is stuck with something or isn't doing great. Right now I think not only that she is surrounded by people who praise her for every little thing, but who have also a particular taste in music that can't do her any good (for instance see Mod saying WTH is his favourite song. Come on, that's just a catchy song but it's far from being one of her best, if anything is one of her less authentic ones).
